In the 80’s-90’s,’women on required to wear suits didn’t have a choice if we couldn’t afford to have our clothes custom made. Huge shoulder pads were the norm in EVERY store. Any attempt to remove them & replace with a smaller size to fit smaller shoulders was expensive & generally ruined the suit.
