Tennessee is an open primary state. That means that you do not register by Party. For that reason, the only way for a Dem candidate to know that you are someone to pursue in order to earn your vote is the way you vote in a primary.

In a red county, there’s a concept of Blue Dots and that we’re alone. Taking 30% of the vote is FAR from alone - but because people are afraid to speak up they FEEL alone!
