The cover illustration of the fanfic 'Chariot and Wolf' depicts the complicated love story between the King of Ithaca, Odysseus, and the God of the Sea, Poseidon, across three stages of Odysseus' life: Act I (Pre-Iliad) shows the newly crowned Odysseus as an adolescent/ young man wearing a crimson cape seated on a marble throne (to his right are smaller classical white marble statues of Penelope and Telemachus overlooking Odysseus) looking up at Poseidon who's gripped Odysseus by his jaw; Act II (The Odyssey) shows an older Odysseus in the forefront with longer hair and a pair of small wings on his head and a bigger pair of falcon-like wings spread from his waist and golden fish scales at his neck, forearms, and calves, while a smirking Poseidon extends his water arm toward him to pressure him to get in the water. Act III (epilogue) depicts Poseidon and Odysseus riding the divine chariot Odysseus had crafted for Poseidon, pulled by hippocampus across the ocean waves.
