Yo! Will be stopping by the NSG booth for sure. I’m behind on my planning - are there any scheduled Netrunner activities I should be checking out?

One of things I look forward to the most every year. Always appreciate the @tthq.bsky.social crew for how this comes together.

This is incredible news. One of the greats, sadly out of print for so many years, now coming back to life via what might be the best team you could hope for thanks to @25thcentury.games and @ianotoole.bsky.social. They are making up for lost time!

This is our most exciting release in a while, and that's part of the plan. Layout is cool, but we're building up to "layout++" — a combination of user-friendly layout and styling tools we haven't seen in a modern open source CMS before.

‘Task’ Is Everything We Want It to Be. Plus, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Spotify video

Listening to the homies CR and Andy go deep on Task (aka “Philly Heat”) has me absolutely levitating. I’m going to savor these new little weekly rituals while they last.

You helped (re)introduce me to Netrunner at PAXU last year and since then I’ve gone deep down the rabbit hole—building decks, printing proxies, teaching friends—and have now pre-ordered Elevation. Can’t wait!

What a legend. I've just been going through the Michael Mann filmography on @criterion.bsky.social. Hadn't expected to also rewatch Heat for the 100th time but here we go.

I have been vicariously through my son for the last 6(?) years with this summer camp program. Best part is that he absolutely loves it too.

The @apostrophecms.com team is continuing to push forward with our resources for integrating with @astro.build. I really appreciate how clearly this new tutorial lays out the approach we've taken for the integration, what it's for, and how to use our Apollo theme as a learning tool.

156: Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die (1996) — Discord & Rhyme: An Album Podcast Discord & Rhyme continues its slow walk through the world of Post-Rock with an examination of the 1996 album Millions Now Living Will Never Die by the Chicago-based group Tortoise. John has been...

I don't know why I don't follow any music pods, but I randomly fired this @discordpod.bsky.social episode up after it was suggested by an algorithm that clearly knew it was about one of my favorite albums. All of the connections it makes to other bands is COOKING my noodle. A joy to dive in here 🏊

Thank you! We're actually on site with the Michelin team today talking about their future roadmap—happy to report that Astro will continue to play a big part. I'm working on getting a full detailed case study written up sometime in the next few weeks. 🙏

Wrote up some thoughts on how things have been going with @apostrophecms.com and @astro.build. Today we are on site in Lyon with the Michelin team talking about the future of their CX platform and Astro will continue to big a part of that.

YO BIG EARS. I last went to the Big Ears festival in 2015 when my brother and I turned it into a road trip from Philly. We’ve now locked in passes for the 2025 edition of this insane, pinch me, how is this even possible weekend of music and I couldn’t be more excited for our 10 (!!) year reunion.

One of the things I did after finishing The Daughter’s War by @buehlmeister.bsky.social was to go back and start reading The Blacktongue Thief again. Kind of an unusual move for me but I feel like I am trying to wring everything I can out of this amazingly crafted world. I need more of it!

Nice, the resource wheel was probably my favorite part from Glass Road. Excited to see how it plays in this new design.

This thread is just scratching the surface. My long list is… long. I also know that no matter how much I dig up on BoardGameGeek previews and expo maps, every PAXU brings unexpected discoveries and awesomeness, and that’s where the best stuff is waiting. I’ll be counting down the days from here. 🔜

Teaching Bus to some BGBers at PAXU 2023.

Of course all these games aren’t worth much without a great crew to play with. I’m lucky to have connected with some equally avid—and kind and welcoming—folks from the Board Game Barrage community and can’t wait get some games going with returning and new friends alike.

Neuromancer in card game form. Miles (now 13) started getting into this with me and I am amazed to discover how the community has rallied around keeping the game not just alive but truly thriving. Naturally they have a lot planned for the show.

Unconscious Mind — A richly themed, beautifully illustrated cruncher.
Cities — Two elite designers pairing up on an elegant city planning game.
Rebirth — More strategic tile laying from Knizia, the best to ever do it.
SETI — CGE reliably builds some of the strongest hype for every PAXU.

Beige is beautiful in the second glass making themed euro on my list. Tight rules, tough decisions, and a throwback, washed out hand drawn style is the skeleton key to my gaming heart.

Could this behemoth of a civilization building simulation really be worth its 1 hour long teaching time? I’m not usually a follower of designer Stefan Feld, but the persistence and intensity of the praise it’s been getting has me ready to find out.
