2026 edition Navarra International Documentary Film Festival promoted by the Government of Navarra and organized by NICDO

I was invited to curate a series on experimental 3D filmmaking for this year's Punto de Vista film festival, called "Forever Young: Cinema in relief."

Three programmes, nineteen films, six different formats. April 21-22.

Thanks. I'm surprised Bugonia has been as divisive for critics as it turned out to be. To me it was easily the most compelling of last year's "America, amirite?" pictures.

It doesn’t have the same…uh…stakes (?) as SPEECHLESS, but I thought it hung together about as well as that one did. Tbh Stark could make as many of these found stereogram eternalism knockoffs set to generic drone music as he wants and I’d probably eat em all up.

"I regret that, and it's something that I know caused a lot of pain and hurt in the Jewish community in particular, and I apologize for that," Bailey told The Globe and Mail, when asked about the film's supposed disinvitation. I don't know which Jewish community Bailey is talking about—except perhaps those I know who were lied to in the media by the craven filmmakers behind this documentary—but I am Jewish, and I would like an apology for having to attend a festival run by spineless people who roll over for such crass, inhuman displays ostensibly in my name. Never have I felt so personally disrespected by TIFF, as both a Jew and a human being. The inability or unwillingness to stand up to Zionist bullying, at a time when the government of Israel is conducting a genocide against Palestinians, is unconscionable. It put me, personally, in the position of having to calm down friends and family who worried I was attending an antisemitic, censorious festival. It made me have to walk by as people waving flags of the country my parents were born in sickeningly protested outside Roy Thomson hall, advocating the continued slaughter of Palesintians.

TIFF 2025: In defense of Wavelengths, the incredibly shrinking film festival program Yes, the works showcased can be ‘experimental.’ But we should welcome the unexpected

In 2016, TIFF’s essential Wavelengths slate had 15 features, four shorts programs and five installations. This year, just eight features – fewer than Primetime, the section that previews TV series – three shorts programs and zero installations. #TIFF50 www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/film/ti...

The Cinematheque / Dimensional Excursions: Innovation in 3D Cinema Curated by stereoscopic filmmaker Blake Williams, these programs of films can make you feel in ways you never imagined, and that effect is inextricable from their 3D presentation.

Vancouver area: A portion of my TIFF series "Dimensional Excursions" will screen at The Cinematheque on July 17, including the pure heroin version of the 3D shorts programme.
