Guessing that’s about 10% of what a funeral home would charge.

Please pick up a crematorium while you’re there.

Possibly the ultimate dad joke as a picture,
but please do not let that be a genre.

Read Randa Abdel-Fattah's Resignation Letter Slamming UQP for Caving to 'Smear Campaigns' The author's award-winning novel Discipline was published by UQP. Now, Abdel-Fattah has quit the publisher in response to its cancellation of an Indigenous children's book.

"As publishers, you have some imagination. So I want you to imagine that one day people will study this moment. They will read books chronicling how institutions and the arts responded to a genocide."
- Abdel-Fattah to UQP on caving to #ZionistMcCarthyism.

What a 5,000-mile-long marine heat wave means for summer in the U.S. It could boost temperatures, humidity and the threat for tropical storms in the West through summer.

If we'd only listened (and elected) Al Gore 26 years ago.

Chris, dude, you missed your chance!
Ooh, that’s got to be embarrassing.

Good unit, a standardized, long-term impact. Thanks!

Better than telling people the ocean is warming by zetajoules. As opposed to, say, what would be the electricity bill for that warming? (in trillions)
Or, what would the air temperature be if that energy was in the atmosphere? (ouch!)

People who can’t be bothered to vote deserve the crappy government they will inevitably get.

Every time an 🇺🇸 negotiator or government official insults 🇨🇦 or whines about how unfair or unreasonable we are, most 🇨🇦s strengthen their resolve to boycott all things 🇺🇸. These comments aren't helpful. They should've learned that Canadians are a proud and strong country. We'll not be bullied!

Note the implication that USA cannot afford the costs required to win a full-scale war.
For instance, USA would not be able to stop China from invading Taiwan because that war would collapse the USA economy.

Something Is Brewing in the Pacific That Nobody in Washington Wants to Talk About A super El Niño is forming in the same week federal climate policy is being dismantled. The atmosphere doesn't care about the politics.

This is an excellent over view of the dangerous warming period we’ll likely be entering in the next 12 months.

Share it widely.

Corp news will not acknowledge this increased danger until it’s too late in order to keep markets stable. That is their sole job.

Redistricting can backfire.
It assumes zero change in overall voting preference.
IF you redistrict to make your party win every district by 10%, instead of each winning or losing by 20%,
BUT the overall preference for your party changes by - 11%,
THEN you lose ALL of the districts.

To see truth, just reverse everything Trump says.
“I’m brilliant” -[truth]-> “I’m stupid”
“She’s low-IQ” -[truth]-> “She’s smart”
“We’re winning” -[truth]-> “We’re losing”

The Moore's Law Update — for 128 years NOTE: this is a semi-log graph, so a straight line is an exponential; each y-axis tick is 100x. This graph covers a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000ximprovement in computation/$. Pause to let that sink ...

Calculations per second per dollar.
Now a trillion times more than vacuum tube computers of the 1950s; a million times more than in the 2000s.
