Holliday shook her head while waving her hand dismissively.
"Nah, just been a minute since I let my shoulders sag is all. I'm alright, promise. 'Sides, wouldn't want to impose on ya too much now." Holliday pushed herself to sit up straight with a quiet grunt. "Now, let's get our grub on, yeah?"
"I'll keep that in mind whenever I'm in the area."
Removing her scarf, Holliday took a seat next to Ivy and, when she could finally relax and let her guard down, a wave of exhaustion came over her. Her whole body became much less tense as she sunk into the couch.

Holliday tipped her hat as thanks when Ivy held the door open, following her back to her apartment.
Looking around, Holliday gave a small nod and moved to take her boots off to not bring dirt inside.
"Small as it is, still bigger than the place I got here. Looks nice, cute."
"Really? Despite everything, folks still give stares? That ain't right. Matter if fact, that ain't right regardless."
Holliday crossed her arms with a shrug. "Ah well. You look good and you are good. And the Arroyos knew how to dress ya."

"They did a good job at it too, then. Best lookin' gargoyle I've seen."
Holliday wasn't going to add the part she hasn't exactly seen too many. That part didn't matter much anyways.
"Did they give you the hat and overalls too, or did the Arroyos dress you up?"
'Cute' was the first thought that shot through Holliday's head when she saw the blush. A small smile lingered for a moment before she returned to her much more neutral look.
"Well whoever made you paid a lotta attention to those fangs, huh? Doesn't make it hard to eat and such, does it?"

"You can't give it to me now?! Look it's not like he's-- Hell. Sorry, adrenaline runnin' high, haven't felt this awake in three days. 3rd and 168th, alright. I'll get headin' that way now. And... thank you, Silver. Thank you."
"You're kidding. Right? No, no, shouldn't doubt it. What do you want for it? Or how much, I should probably ask. Give me some time and I could pull some cash from the bank, just name it."
"My accent? That's the first time I've heard that one. But you got a nice one, too. And a cute smile ta boot."
A small smirk appeared on Holliday's face for a second before returning to her more neutral look.
"I'll be sure to have a bed ready for ya when ya do, then."

They did her so well look at her.
"Well, what do you wanna do for twenty minutes, then?"
"Maybe the country side would really startle you then, being used to the noise and all. Out there, it's real quiet. Nothin' but the wind blowin', cows mooin', and horses runnin'."
Holliday moved to lean on the wall by the door to the restaurant, hands in her pockets. ใ
"... Yeah, can't say livin' in the city is my beat then."
Holliday listened as went on and on about New York, only intersecting when they got to the restaurant. Everything, even the good parts, all sounded like far too much for Holliday to handle.

Another eyebrow quirk at the wagging tail. It reminded her a lot of how a dog would react. Not that she was about to embarrass Ivy by saying such.
"What's it like livin' in Spanish Harlem anyhow? Ever get too loud you can't sleep?"
