At Mount Sinai Hospital in East Harlem today, I stand firmly with the New York State Nurses Association in its fight for a fair contract that protects nurses and patients. The 42,000-member NYSNA is into the fourth day of the largest nurses strike in city history.

Last night, our Manhattan Young Democrats-led group spoke out about the dangers of antisemitism. The protest was at Cipriani Wall Street, where New York Young Republican Club was honoring a regional co-chair of German AfD party, which has stoked antisemitic hate. No hate in New York.

Middle-class residents in Assembly District 74 are sharing frustration over their voices being silenced or ignored.

As a senator named Barack Obama wrote 20 years ago about a journey I took to understand the average American, everyday “experiences and discoveries” should guide public servants.
