I have to give myself some credit tho my hands were starting to hurt towards the end because of the repetitive motion…even with stretching and compression gloves 😭 thankfully I’m not doing any more prints or big projects until after the semester ends

I started this in February and if my math is correct it’s about 27,000 individually latch hooked pieces of yarn…it’s about 4’x3’ and one of the largest things I’ve ever made!
-
(Also I’m aware rug tufting is a thing but I wanted specifically a hand latch hooked rug)
Shout out to the boobs in the elevator
If I didn’t have 2 papers and 2 PowerPoints to work on…it’d go a lot faster
End of March was kinda delusional on my part given my like workload and shit…I’m so close to being done my goal is finished by Monday but ugh it’s this final stretch that’s going so slowly
Deer in the print shop 🦌💙
(Thank you to my friends for agreeing to this)
Only took 4 attempts burning this massive transparency 🙄 (it’s like 25x33 inches) taped together with 9- 8.5x11…I just hope it prints ok 😭

A simple digital drawing depicting 2 silhouettes on an abstract background, one is transparent and the other is opaque. under them is a slider going from left to right, a computer cursor is adjusting the slider. text says "Please adjust the slider so that the trans person on the left is barely visible"

Little guys in Baltimore today!!!!
I always get the fun patterned bandaids adds a lil whimsy! Also old laundry detergent containers are good for sharps disposal! but good luck!! 🎉💪
🙌 all things considered I’m actually impressed with myself and lowkey imma probs hang it in my apt after the semester ends 🤔
Maybe a bit of a cop out but I also feel like as nice as perfect crisp registration in silk screen is…little errors show human hands made it…like if I wanted it to be perfect I could just stay digital start to finish…
I’m gonna sew on the backing and hammer on grommets later tonight…
Screen printing ink
Transparency films for screen printing
Fabric is significantly cheaper then nice paper BUT registration is significantly harder when the fabric stretches and shifts 🥲
(I’m calling them babe-phomet)
🌈😈
I still head headaches and brain fog sometimes but it’s not as bad…and my eyes twitching again but that’s probably stress
It was such a good call w/my dr to try vyvance instead my heart doesn’t feel like it’s gonna explode anymore 😭 and like I feel a lil drop in the evenings but no hard crash 🙌
I was worried about the bit map getting crushed and fucked up getting shrunk down but I didn’t 😏 soo that gives me ideasss (using my wood panel resin work I wanna follow up on)
I have a print event in pgh at the end of the month with like a buncha universities and now I have stickerrrs to sell or trade

I always hold my breath when I pull a print 🫣
😫 augh I don’t have the time to just sit down and work on this I have so many other papers and readings I have to work on but it’s moving….
First etch good 🙌 now as long as the second just keeps all that shit exactly the same 🤞
I got distracted while writing a paper for my teaching class and started looking at deer memes on Pinterest…fuck…🦌
Rub that rock 😏🪨
(and silently pray that the first etch isn’t too strong )
I’m following up “emo boys kissing” litho with “T-boys do it better”…🫣
Litho grease crayon, and sand paper I use to sharpen the crayons.
“Stone” top 🥴 I always draw the smallest delicate parts first when I start a new litho…(drawing is my fave part)
I can’t remember where I found it but someone recommended sandpaper and it’s a lot easier than fighting with a knife to get my crayons sharp
Whoops! 🪨
