Anyone who runs for national office on the "PROSECUTE THESE MONSTERS" ticket gets my enthusiastic vote.

Thank you, governor. Some schadenfreude is understandable, but there was real harm done and we still want answers and JUSTICE for Good and Pretti and every single family that was broken by these absolute monsters.

Dispatches from MN: it's getting really hard, guys. The media has left, the donations are drying up, and ICE is still here kidnapping people. It's hard not to be resentful that other people have the option of setting this aside for.other things.

I just got a random bout of existential horror thinking about all the doofuses who have used AI to "write" their cheesy-ass wedding vows.

Thanks, brain.

Even if Good and Pretti were alive today, the feds would be doing more damage to our schools, our economy, our businesses, our communities, our hospitals than any outside actor has ever done in the history of Minnesota. Shaking Tom Homan's hand and agreeing to work with him makes you a collaborator.

Have You Been to Jail for Justice?
Have You Been to Jail for Justice? YouTube video by Anne Feeney - Topic

Activists figured out how to respond to the fear of jail years ago. It's no longer something to fear, but a badge of pride.

I keep seeing posts going "when ICE comes to MY city, we'll be out in the streets even harder" and man, I get that sentiment but I need everyone to understand that the work in Minneapolis is partly confrontational but MORE IMPORTANTLY aaallll the stuff organized in the background to help neighbors

No shit, this was the thing I needed to read right at this second for a little hope. Thank you so much.

'Standing up to oppression': Why one local veteran chose to protest A day after the shooting of Alex Pretti, protestors gathered in Duluth, calling for an end of ICE operations in the state.

What ICE is doing in Minnesota is unconscionable. No ICE agent, CBP thug, or person who supports what they are doing should ever be forgiven.

I feel lame sharing this and I know I'm shouting into the void. Oh well.

Apropos of nothing happening up here in Minnesota, I finally finished the David Reynolds cultural biography of John Brown. While I firmly believe #JohnBrownDidNothingWrong (and his truth goes marching on) I am so so proud of the people in this state for showing another way. #BookSky #MinnesotaStrong

This article is beautiful and I'm so incredibly thankful it was written.

We are heartbroken but also very angry.

"Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.

"Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.

"The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.

"Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you

He will go down in American history as a hero who gave his life trying to protect a helpless person from armed fed thugs. He should have been able to live out his life in peace and happiness, but tens of millions of Americans chose this. We won't forgive ICE and we won't forgive them.

Word. I will donate every goddamn penny I can afford to primary any spineless nematode that votes to fund the hostile force occupying my state and terrifying my family, friends, and neighbors.

@scalzi.com and @wilwheaton.net Really enjoyed listening to The Kaiju Preservation Society this week. As a Minnesotan, a little bit of an escape into a fun, fantastic story was much, much appreciated!

Absolutely loved the special. LOVED it. But, just FYI, my wife and I started straight up, like, scream-crying at Bagel's memoriam. Good kitty. She was lucky to have you both.

Well, once you move the bed, you're kind of forced to move everything else. In for a penny etc.

Reading John Brown: Abolitionist during these strange and troubled times is NOT A RECIPE FOR PEACEFUL DREAMS.

Great book, would recommend, maybe my favorite historical biography. #booksky

Please enjoy these shelter pups reacting to getting a kiss. Some are bashful, some have butterflies, and all deserve approximately 10 million more. 14/10 for all

Statement of fact and hilarious metaphor in one headline. Glad the thumbnail image shows him next to a bunch of turds.

We have officially sprung Dr. Dottie Donuts, Attorney at Law from kitty prison. She was at a shelter for TEN MONTHS which is nuts because she is the sweetest kitty on the planet.

She will be accepting Cat Law clients soon.
