Yep, routine follow-up to previous issue. You know us potatoes, gotta get treatment for those internal brown chunks.

Sitting here in a waiting room scrolling BlueSky and drinking HighContrast water. Suspiciously this time it has no flavor. I guess that’s an improvement over the fake fruit flavor thicker stuff, but I think it’s just water.
Also handy if you have a clingy dog that insists on sitting with you while you work.
As of 2023, Sherlock Holmes is finally in the public domain in the United States -- which means that Arthur Conan Doyle's heirs and random other rights-holders can no longer insist that the character be free of any trace of homoeroticism.

My mutant ability is to have things around me break, but not when I need them to, like before a test I don’t want to take, but instead on a random Thursday when it’s a major inconvenience.
Bummed that it’s a movie and not a handful of episodes, but It’s better than nothing at all (so common an ending to most streaming series these days)

Next time you’re in line at the Genius Bar ponder this sentence from DJT:
“When I got the call I said, wow, it’s Tim Apple (Cook!) calling, how big is that? I was very impressed with myself to have the head of Apple calling to “kiss my ass.” 🍏
Sure
I like it. I don’t want to shame any particular actor, but it’s painfully obvious if you watch a few episodes of the show.
Imagine writing a film that relies on forcing people to pay to watch an excruciatingly long film they've already seen. Why not just put the new stuff on Disney plus with an apology or something.
Sorry for the occasional political reskeet. I have to post it to get it on my political account’s timeline so I can reply to it there. If complaining about politics are your thing, follow @newstater.bsky.social too.
Let the Martian backlash begin! #ForAllMankind
After last week's surprising For All Mankind episode, time to catch up and see what’s going on on Mars now. #ForAllMankind
introducing Bluesky's new "Do Not Disturb" mode. now available to everyone
Watching the new Scrubs and one of the actors from the original series got plastic surgery (maybe a few times) over the years and wow, it hasn’t aged well.
This is more of a “see ya in a week” situation.
I really feel like the USPS missed an opportunity. I know I would buy two or three books of stamps if the picture was just a hand with the middle finger sticking up. Would come in very handy around April 15th.

Please stop doing that, Steve...

Updated my review of Project Hail Mary on Letterboxd. If you haven’t both read the book and seen the movie, DON’T READ THIS REVIEW.

Corporate think: Let’s get rid of the people that make the products that our customers love, and instead give our senior managers large bonuses for "improving workplace efficiency."
🤦
Even if season 3 isn’t your thing, stick with it, it sets up a bunch of people you need to know for season 4 and 5. And they are great seasons.
2) When Grace learns how Stratt screwed him. In the book it’s after Rocky has left. Also better explains the amnesia.
3) At the end Grace only knows the Sol is restored, we never see Earth again or learn more. It’s left to the readers imagination.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
I’m particularly upset about three changes.
1) Rocky saving Grace but Grace not saving Rocky when the ship is out of control. It shows Grace selflessly cares about Rocky, but I guess the movie didn’t want that shown that early
Unlike The Hunger Games which was maybe the most accurate book to movie translation, PHM wasn’t. The writers made an outline of the plot points of the book, threw away all of the dialog, then changed stuff for no reason.

Project Hail Mary. I listened to the book, and I finally went and saw the movie. I give the book 5 stars. As a stand alone movie I would give it 4 or 4.5 stars, but because I heard the book first I give it 3 stars.

this new series is actually disappointing…
I got 1/2 way in the first episode and realized I didn’t like the husband or the wife and was a little bored. Glad I bailed early. Was hoping this would be a comedy but there was nothing there.
In Turkey, an elderly man who earns his living by shining shoes is visited every morning at the same time by a cat that asks to have its fur brushed. The man never turns down this little friend.😍👍💙
