I went out to paint en plein air with the Philadelphia Watercolor Society at the Brandywine Battlefield today and did this pen and wash of the barns, with #sennelier watercolor and #dynastybrush on #hahnemuhle paper.

Thrilled to represent the U.S. with my painting "Knot Moving" in the Silk Road 11th Internatl Exhibit, also added to permanent public art collection of the People's Republic of China. The event is hosted by the PRC Ministry of Culture & Tourism in Oct at Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts.

Finished! I found this antique 16x20 frame a while back at the Habitat store but I needed to do quite of bit of rebuilding the plaster scrollwork. After paint was applied, you can no longer tell where I rebuilt the scrollwork.

I spent the morning painting en plein air with the Philadelphia Watercolor Society at Greenbank Mill in Delaware again today, despite the high winds and low temperature.
