There’s this very cool woman on IG who times herself doing things she’s been procrastinating to see how long they really take. Like “avoided this garage corner for three years, organized it in 15 minutes.” Anyway that’s what it’s like living in NYC with Mamdani as mayor.

Definitely just said “A’Two May Two” to a doctor trying to confirm an appointment with me.

Heard my neighbor outside talking to his landlord. Landlord goes “I hate Mandani. He won’t last.” And my neighbor said “I dunno. Landlords hating him is kind of a huge part of his appeal.”

Video

Didn’t get to post this here.

I asked Angel Reese about staying grounding between so much change in Chicago until landing here in Atlanta.

Reese got visibly emotional when answering.

Here’s video of that moment which I think is worth watching.

WNBA socials: *in flames over relationship rumors and drama*

My WNBA group chat: “… so that’s a five percent raise over three years, fully guaranteed, which is a smart move with her injury history, even though not it’s as flash as the supermax money, but with the cost of living in the area …”

We are so far beyond even Teapot Dome levels of "government captured by private industry" in this country, and Democrats genuinely seem to believe their unpopularity is driven by being too nice to trans people, instead of being driven by their screamingly obvious hypocrisy about this.

I'm working on a story for @thesicktimes.org about RECOVER clinical trial results that have been shared so far (from the VITAL, NEURO, and AUTONOMIC studies), and am looking for people in the #LongCOVID and IACC communities to share what they think of the findings. DM or email me!

I always forget how freakin honkers bonkers my POTS goes as soon as it gets hot out. 15 minutes upright, 45 minutes flat, on repeat, all day. Like, “Yaaaay sun at long la—oh. Oh no.”

Me: I’m gonna open this bedroom door and there’s a cat and here who’s gonna scream and hiss and spit at you.

Insurance adjuster: Will she hurt me?

Me: Maybe but that’s what you get for walking into a house full of lesbians and black cats, right?

IA: 😒

Me: ☺️

Me: What if I build a Waffle House bird house and put it in the front yard?

Wife: Our landlord will make you take it down and it will break your heart and then I’ll go absolutely ham because I cannot stand to see you get your feelings hurt.

Me: Ohhhhkay I’ll think of another craft.

Me: I’m off to fight a man, back in a bit.

Wife: Heather. Wait, hang on. Are you doing an “I’m a lesbian leaving the house” bit, or do you have an actual appointment to fight a man?

Me: You can make an appointment to fight a man???

I can’t remember the last time I felt AMAZING and could just lounge around reading and drawing and doing some light gardening and simply enjoying it. It was so wonderful. I felt good resting. What a gift.

The days I do the B12 injections are always my clearest cognitive and highest energy days, so I try to inject on days I have a lot of work to do or social situations I have to engage in. Today, for the first time in six years, I timed my injection with a complete rest day.

One of the weird things COVID-19 did to me was cause pernicious anemia, which is an autoimmune disease where my immune system destroys stomach cells & intrinsic factor protein, so my intestines can’t absorb B12 & do red blood cell business. So I have to give myself B12 injections twice a month.
