Storying Climate Justice: Black-Indigenous Methodologies and Pedagogical Possibilities Tuesday, April 15 12:00-1:00pm (Eastern Time) Dr. Fikile Nxumalo OISE, University of Toronto What stories emerged from climate justice research with lands, children, families, elders, teachers in Nkambeni, Eswatini? In this talk, Dr. Fikile Nxumalo brings together (post)qualitative inquiry and Black-Indigenous methodologies to orient towards a particular kind of disruptive storytelling. A situated understanding of radical relationality is espoused as a concept that interconnects the stories. This approach insists on the rigor of storytelling as method whilst thinking through carefully about what and how stories can be shared, inviting opacity as a generative way toward pedagogical possibilities with Indigenous communities, knowledges and lands.
Looking forward! 🌱
