A digital painting of Hornet from Hollow Knight: Silksong, in a green nature environment. The artwork has a heavy textural appearance with a narrow depth of field focus effect.
Experimenting with texture brushes and depth of field, getting hyped for #hollowknight art month by painting hornet. Super happy with this quick exploration!

I am so happy with the #RainWorld fan art I made this year.
Thank you to @rivotter.bsky.social for creating and continuing to run this event, and to @videocultmedia.bsky.social and everyone involved in creating this incredible game and its DLC.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them :)
Thank you Liz, that's so lovely to know! :D
It's the first time in long while that I've looked at my art and been able to see my improvement for myself, so I'm pleased to hear you think so too!
Glaze 2.2 is out.
It is an update for Windows users to support recent NVidia GPUs (including 50xx GPUs).
Downloads at: glaze.cs.uchicago.edu
Mac users do not need to update.
We are also updating Nightshade to fix the True bug and also support new GPUs. That update is coming in the next few days.
A digital painting depicting a scene from the game Rain World, specifically The Watcher DLC. A large dimly lit chamber of bulbous masses and tendrils holds host to an entity that is suspended by a larger tendril extending from an open flower like formation. The entity looks like a puppet with no limbs. It has a body made of a mass of stringy formations and a head that looks like a dark sunflower. The centre of it's head, or the flower, is glowing brightly and shining it's light in the direction it is looking. The entity is curving down to face toward a slugcat, who is standing amongst the bulbous formations of the environment and gazing up at the mysterious entity.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 31: The Prince - Ending with a highlight moment of The Watcher DLC, my journey through the 7th Rain World art month comes to an end. This year's art felt better than ever to make and I'm proud of it.
Compilation video and art stats coming soon + stay tuned for art book info :)
A digital painting depicting a split view of above and below some murky water in an overgrown cave with a few remnants of industrial machinery. A slugcat from the game Rain World is floating at the surface of the water as two monsters move in a pincer movement towards it. The monsters are comprised of a blobby central mass and long goopy tendrils reaching out to the surrounding environment and towards the slugcat's location. One is moving in from above the water, and one below the water.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 30: BLL/DLL - I enjoy observing these blobby creatures, but I also find them quite terrifying to be around.
Hehe, all except Saint :)
A digital painting depicting a shadowy industrial scene from the game Rain World. It is very rundown with growths overtaking much of the collapsing brickwork. And it is shaded by huge arching structures, perhaps bridges of some kind. A slugcat is standing atop an old hopper machine of sorts and looking to some dangling lantern mice creatures hanging from above, which are glowing as they sway in the air. In the shadows of the scene, lots of spindly legs and forms can be seen that indicate the presence of spiders.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 29: Shaded Citadel - Despite it's creepy nature, I enjoy the vibes of this shadowy region.
A digital painting depicting an abstract scene of 9 slugcats from the game Rain World in a subtly glowing void. A brighter glow is up towards the top right of the painting and the flowing forms of the slugcats appear to be swimming towards it. Each slugcat is slightly different, some glowing, some closer to us as dark silhouettes, one fading into glowing tendrils, one falling behind as they struggle to swim, and one with a glowing abstract halo.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 28: 9 Year Anniversary - 9 years ago, I experienced a game that was unlike anything I had played before. It led me on a journey I will never forget, and has inspired me hugely over the years. Rain World is not a typical game, but it will always be one of my favourites.
A digital painting depicting an old large storage room with a large circular hologram of an image being projected into the center of it. A slugcat from the game Rain World sits next to the projector and is reaching out at the hologram inquisitively. The hologram depicts a long mechanical arm of some kind extending to a large firey orb within clouds. There is also some text written in an unknown language.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 27: Achievement: Images and Sounds - This isn't something I've done in The Watcher, but it does make me wonder how a slugcat would react to those large projections.
A digital painting depicting a huge and deep cylindrical hole, which is going into a built facility rather than the ground. Looking down the hole, we can see cables dangling across the cavernous space along with plant vines that bear watermelon-like fruit in the middle of them. A slugcat called the Watcher from the game Rain World is dangling from one of the larger fruits, barely hanging onto it. The great height of the fall they would suffer if they lose grip is evident.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 26: Pomegranate - I really enjoy the visual of this bleak region being sparsely populated by these odd fruity plants.
A digital painting depicting a scene from the game Rain World. A strange ghostly ball with arcing tendrils of energy is floating just above the ground, casting a sparkly rainbow between their tendrils. In the background of this industrial pipe laden landscape, a slugcat can be seen peering over a ledge and observing the scene. Another ghostly ball with tendrils is wiggling through the air behind the slugcat.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 25: Fire Sprites - I don't really understand what these things are, but they are very pretty to watch.
A digital painting depicting a scene from the game Rain World. A slugcat called the Watcher is standing before a large mechanical worm. It looks like a stubby grub with glowing holes along it's body. It's head resembles a box and it is looking at the slugcat. Another one, slightly different in appearance is in the background and a strange glowing sprite is flying through the air around it. The environment is sandy with large stone brick walls and pillar structures. It is a shady place with large bright strips of light streaking across the scene.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 24: Box Worms - When I first encountered these, I thought they were just idle machines. It was much later that I realised they were actually a creature of sorts.
A digital painting depicting a fluffy slugcat from the game Rain World, called the Saint, floating in the air with their glowing arms outstretched towards a figure. The figure is distorted in the midst of an immense force that twists the air around it. It appears that their soul has been freed from their body by this force, indicated by a glowing golden mirage over the top of them that isn't affected by the air distortion effect. The slugcat appears to be responsible for this. In the foreground, a pearl with a disrupted glowing circle around it has clearly been flung from where the figure is, thrown by the force affecting them.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 23: Ascended Burst - When I first saw what this ability did, I immediately questioned what it could mean for Moon and Pebbles... and it was not long before I had my answer.
A digital painting depicting an abstract scene of a slugcat from the game Rain World holding two spears in an X shape across it's back. The slugcat is looking menacing, perched on a horizontal pole in a dark void. A subtle red glow is placed behind the scene to better show the silhouette. Several other poles or spears are floating in the void around the slugcat, a couple with strips of red material tied to the top of them, flapping in an unseen breeze. A stark spotlight illuminates the slugcat, with it's spears casting a dark X shaped shadow on it's back.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 22: Achievement: The Outlaw - Another homage to the in-game passage artworks. The lighting in the original is so striking, and I had a good time painting it in my own way.
A digital painting depicting an imagined scene from the game Rain World. A humanoid biomechanical character, called Five Pebbles, sits in a dark and ruined tiled room with masses of bulbous rot encroaching on him. A large glowing pearl floats in the air next to him, and he stares away from us to a growing puddle on the floor. In the puddle is an image of another scene featuring a similar humanoid character, called Moon. She floats in the air with distorted glowing lights around her, and she waves towards Pebbles. A few drops of water fall from above, casting ripples in the puddle that distort the image in it.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 21: Iterators - In 2021's Rain World art month, I painted a piece for this prompt of Moon looking up at an abstract image of Pebbles in a mass of rain. I thought it would be fun to imagine a new version of this idea from Pebbles perspective, after Rivulet's storyline.
A digital painting depicting a misty landscape of huge crumbling towers and overgrown brickwork and pipes. Sand dunes can just be seen through the growths. Giant flying whales float through the air, with swarms of locusts surrounding them. One whale, tremendously larger than the rest, looms in the background. A small slugcat, called the Watcher from the game Rain World, is on the ground and fleeing the locusts that are beginning to descend towards them from the swathes in the sky.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 20: Fractured Gateways - I only experienced this region for a brief moment in my playthrough. Though I missed the spectacle of that one particular locust whale that lurks there, I could not resist painting it.
A digital painting depicting a slugcat, from the game Rain World, and her three young slugpups sleeping in a cosy snuggle atop a soft patch of foliage. This small scene is floating in an abstract dark void with a faint glow behind it. Leaves and pearls float around the scene. A bright unintelligible symbol representing "The Mother" achievement from the game floats in the air at the base of the painting.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 19: Achievement: The Mother - I've not attained this achievement myself, but the idea of its passage artwork is rather cute.
A digital painting depicting a foggy scene of huge stacked towers of overgrown cargo containers. A slugcat from the game Rain World, called the Watcher, is jumping across a large gap from a horizontal pole to a container. Meanwhile, 3 large moth creatures are descending from the sky towards the slugcat.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 18: Shrouded Stacks - I do wonder what might be stored within the many stacked containers here.
A digital painting depicting a large indigo lizard with its long tongue out and head flung backwards. This is due to a graffiti bomb that has hit it's head and exploded into a cloud of dusty green paint. The thrower of the bomb, a slugcat from the game Rain World called the Watcher, is standing atop a high ledge some distance away and is holding another graffiti bomb that is emitting a stream of blue smoke upwards. The surroundings are industrial in appearance, with brick walls and large pipes, but it is overgrown with vines.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 17: Graffiti Bomb - These colourful bombs are good fun to throw around.
A digital painting, depicting a glowing slugcat with axolotl style frills from the game Rain World, called the Rivulet. They are floating in an underwater space. Machinery, cables, and debris are overgrown with vines, some of which bear glowing fruit.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 16: Rivulet - For this prompt, I thought I'd reimagine a piece I made for Downpour when it was the More Slugcats mod.
A digital painting depicting a fight scene. We view things from behind a huge lizard with yellow/gold frills. It gazes angrily at a fluffy slugcat from the game Rain World, called The Saint, who has thrown a glowing firey spear at it. The spear has missed its target and is flying past the lizard. Other spears are scattered around the slugcat and it has already grabbed another. The scene takes place in the ruins of an ancient temple-like structure, and the slugcat stands next to a monument of some kind and under a tall flaming torch.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 15: Fire Spears - Though I didn't make much use of them, the fire spears still surprise and intrigue me.
I sure did! Made a couple bits of promotional art for it. It’s nice to be on your TL :D
Thank you :D
Thank you! :)
Digital painting depicting a dark, overgrown, and misty landscape of large creatures known as scissor birds, from the game Rain world. They have a round body with two mechanical legs like pogo-sticks, a long neck with a small round head, and large beak filled with sharp teeth. They have two glowing pits for eyes either side of their head. One in the foreground has it's beak wide, sparks flying from the impact of it's metallic leg on the floor. It appears to be about to grab a slugcat creature that is on it's back as if it fell while fleeing the scary creature.
#RWArtMonth 2026 Day 14: Scissorbirds - I have had my fair share of scary encounters with these speedy snapping creatures.
