Two cards I made for Hearthstone and are dear to me as they depict dinosaurs, fantasy, and greenery featuring wood and landscape thriving with life, could I ask for better themes 🤭🌱

A little zine I made in 2021, I posted this one on my tumblr a while back but I formatted it a bit better for digital #zines
A comic. A gray and white cat bats the phone out of my hand. “Mother, stop this” He rubs his head against the back of my hand. “You must learn to live ‘in the moment’” “This moment, specifically,” he puts his face into the palm of my hand and holds it there with his paws, “in which I am being petted.”

Painting in watercolor and ink by Victoria Maderna depicting a lizard wearing a hat and sandals, holding an insect skewer, sitting inside a hole on a stone wall.
Summer lizard.
Now that the weather is getting warmer there's a whirlwind of lizard activity outside. We piled up some branches in the back and inadvertently made a 5-star resort for the little fellas - it's so fun to watch them! 💛

Idk how many of my nom-urbanist followers care, but one of the things that is so frustrating about modern US cities is that poorer renters are seen as expendable barriers to protect wealthy single-family homes from the noise and traffic and pollution of arterial roads.
A large soft toy Thylacine. The fur is gingery, the belly is white, the toe tips are beige. She has soulful brown eyes.
A large soft toy Thylacine facing away from the camera. She has 9 black stripes down her back and sports a brown ribbon.
Side views of a large soft toy Thylacine. She's broad chested and solidly stuffed.
Exciting delivery today! Pathfinder the Thylacine by Charlie bears! She looks so splendid!

I've spent a couple of months a year out hiking/painting/sketching/photographing in the wilds of North America for over 20 years now and I have only seen a mountain lion in-person once. They are deeply private cats. "The Catbird Seat," oil on linen, 40"x35".

screenshot of a post i made on twitter Corey Brickley Illustration. Ju: @CoreyBrickley Seguir .. . i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful: 1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference 2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes 3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid Traducir post
photo of model posing as an elegant elf woman that ive blocked out with a chunky red brush
in a separate window ive redrawn the red blocks, then have drawn details over the red blocks, using the photo+red transparency as reference

Downward shot of three Pachyrhinosaurus walking away from the viewer’s perspective.
Older painting showing a group of Pachyrhinosaurus wading through some water. This was the first time I really dove into learning about lenses and referencing wildlife photography for my paleoart, and I feel it was a big breakthrough for defining my approach! #paleoart #paleosky #pachyrhinosaurus
