do read them all if you’ve read up to book 4 though, because seeing the last dune books written by Frank Herbert is extremely nice. and books 5-6 include various interesting concepts and arcs

book 4 is more philosophical than all books before it, yes. books 5-6 are definitely weaker, less content in them, and are less philosophical than books 1 through 4

i read 60% of V. (according to my kindle) and had to DNF it. there was a complete absence of plot and the writing could've been better. it was very enjoyable especially the Africa chapters
