ooooh that sounds fun!
I just read "Six People to Revise You" and REALLY liked it. Just… really poignant and somehow fun at the same time. Congrats on the nomination!
In response to @megfitz89.bsky.social‘s “what NICHE IP would you like to write for?”
Mine is… pretty niche!
@jelenawoehr.bsky.social and @vivaciousvandal.bsky.social & media came up with a fantastic s1 storyline nonetheless.
Fallen London, the text based online game that’s like Terry Pratchett and Mary Shelley teamed up to write a sprawling choose your own adventure in an LGBTQ-friendly Victorian London.
That was stolen by giant bats and dragged underground.
… Bioshock reference?
Wanted to show you this post in English because it’s so good and we truly are a global village
New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally.
It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

This is super cool and reminds me a bit of Lynch’s LOST HIGHWAY! Gonna check it out—congrats on the trailer!
Yeah. "I disagree with the Court's legal analysis" is one thing, but "the Court isn't using legal analysis to decide cases" is another. The latter is no longer in the realm of law and should not be treated as if it is.
Ada! I hope you are well. I’m really enjoying “Seven Surrenders”!
The people who shut down usaid should be imprisoned for gross negligence at the least and probably just mass murder
Sure, I might offend some of the blue noses with my cocky stride and musky odors...Oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called City Fathers who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about "What's to be done with this Homer Simpson!?"
a drunken personification of Mount Holyoke College (wearing a blue Mount Holyoke shirt and holding a martini glass) says "no, party with me"
As a Mount Holyoke alum, I'm probably one of a thousand people who understand and love the drunken "no, party with me" line from the Mount Holyoke personification before she passes out in Lisa's Seven Sisters dream.

This entire 35 seconds. Magnificently efficient. Stone cold genius. (Treehouse of Horror V, "Time and Punishment.")
This entire thread is worth reading!
I make enough money writing books and TV and freelance pieces to live semi-comfortably, and I have no guarantee any of those jobs will get me to retirement age. To some extent, this has always been true for my profession; what is new is the idea that there are no real, safe fallback jobs.
Back in the day, the robber barons had enough sense to throw money at things like hospitals, universities, and libraries to give the illusion of caring about the everyday people. But our current robber barons spend their money on $50 million weddings, joy rides in space, etc..
Yup!
If you see this, post an image you saved because it made you laugh.
The big “why do you hate AI?” Thread got comments and quotes turned off, but here’s the main reason I hate AI:
It’s being developed by the worst people on the planet solely to enrich themselves at the expense and labor of the world’s vulnerable populations. Everything else stems from that
Wanna see something that will make you really really angry?
I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses
