It is? Geez, I guess I was early when I gifted my favorite lesbian couple chocolate last week (hey, I was in for a massage, and wanted to give the gal and her lady a treat).

Nice effect! Really looks like rain on a windshield. Very dynamic painting!

Funny how they immediately arrest peaceful protesters (all disabled veterans) but no one touches anyone in the DOJ.

Each one of them is more patriotic than anyone in the regime.

Notice how all the ones going are women? We'll know 45 has decided he's in deep doo doo when he starts firing men.

Worse than slavery. Slaveholders who mistreated their slaves by not giving them adequate food/shelter were often shunned by their neighbors.

The poor fools at the top don't seem to understand that grabbing money by immoral actions (laying off workers, etc) isn't going to give them peace. Accumulation of material wealth will never fill the void inside.

The GOP has screwed the nation. We will not recover our prestige or power in my lifetime.

After they have destroyed everything and we have to start from scratch, I'm hoping for a parliamentary system with vote of no confidence enshrined. And a President who has merely ceremonial duties.

It isn't defamation if it is the truth.

Yes, we do. I like to think each person's life is a unique book that will eventually be turned in to the Librarian, Who will cherish the memories within it.

And teachers who realize this and try to reach out to students in the style that is right for them expand their own understanding of the world around them.

Hey, that works too. One year I taught vocabulary through silly songs. TEN YEARS later, one of the kids saw me--and started singing the silly song back to me!

That is so wonderful that you had an understanding teacher!

Very true. And I keep that in mind even today, when I communicate with others.

Yes! You've got it! That is exactly what I did! Personally, I'm an aural learner, where most folks are visual. Still remember "cheerleading" kids through spelling--moving as we spelled the words seemed to help!

I do think back on it, and am humbled when I realized that sometimes just a few words of encouragement meant the world to another.

Thank you! Some thought my approach was silly. I thought it fundamental. My job was to teach--and if one method didn't work, I needed to try another.

1. Sensible gun laws
2. Expanded mental health care
3. Expanded help for families.

2 & 3 can be paid by making the rich & corporations pay at least 14% in taxes like this retired teacher does.

If you can, shop at cooperatives or employee-owned groceries. I have both near me. They tend to keep costs down and to try and get in local products.

Agreed. I will still vote the person, but that means between Independents and Democrats.

Good idea! And if you have a local food pantry (mine is a latched box by the road, put in cookie or muffin mixes as well as staples. Just because you are poor you shouldn't be denied sweetness in your life.
