I can’t see ‘add video’ function now on Bluesky?
Are you a midwife who has significant experience of using interpreters to discuss mental health with women?
How do you do that effectively? 🤔. Would you be willing to share those experiences and help help shape future good practice recommendations? 🤔

What a huge privilege. Thank you @internationalmidwives.org ❤️ for the opportunity.
Gorgeous!
Look who I met up with, by chance, in San Sebastián, Spain, yesterday! Soo Downe, for those of you who don’t know her, she’s a professor of midwifery. And my buddy and advocate.
Soo is cycling with her partner, and happened to be close by. Incredible. We had two hours of non-stop chatter.
What a beautiful account from a retired midwife, now in a care home, remembering special times.
“It was such a wonderful job.” Patricia Walcott-Lee reflects on her journey from Jamaica to South London, delivering joy & babies along the way.

I keep forgetting to post here. Yet I hear this is the place to be - Blue Sky.
Tonight I wrote a post on my Substack account in response to a shocking but not uncommon message from a student midwife on a Facebook group.

And thank you to YOU Emma!

Sharing happiness this evening ❤️

A meeting on X (Twitter) how can that be magic?
It was, a certain kind of ‘it was meant to be’ magic. And a real friendship formed from one like and share.

Thank you so much 💕
There’s just not enough credit given for all you do. You’re doing so much and trying hard. Not everyone gets how hard you work to be functioning. So here’s a big thank you from me to you. Picture by Beth Evans pastel colours black writing.
Thank you for all your #kindness & all you do! 🧡

The women in this photo are my older sisters. We were five girls. I never experienced gender inequality - I wasn’t even aware of it. I now know something different but because of them I’m totally able to be who I want to be, without prejudice, most of the time. This is my sister’s wedding. I am 10
