Good stuff Geoffrey. "memory forgets. / perhaps this is all we know, / not knowing how to remember" reminded me of Cohen's "I can't forget / but I don't remember what"
Adelaide songwriters Kate Lewis and Katie Pomery present an hour of introspective sadness that’s ultimately about the importance of social connection. ★★★★

Nice work. Just had a flick through yours and others, on the train as it happens...
Come see Tracey 'Queen of Sass' O'Callaghan's second & final show tomorrow at 6pm
To help fill remaining seats, wrangle some friends & buy four tickets & you'll get a free copy of her collected poems: adelaidefringe.com.au/fringetix/br...
Kick off a busy Friday night at the @adlfrin.ge & Festival.
She can certainly turn the emotional intensity up to 11 in a heartbeat, but all those softer, less serious, more contemplative numbers on the dial get a good hearing, too.
This isn’t Spinal Tap; it’s The Queen of Sass.
Tickets available at the link.

..and balls a-plenty – with a range of tonal complexity and side quests in between. There’s your banter.
It's also an updated setlist, so even if you came last year, there'll be new and different material to keep your attention.
Having reviewed the first run of this set at last year's Fringe, I can say it's an hour of spoken word poetry that is by turns comic and socially incisive; playful and reflectively sombre, or rage-induced and, hopefully, inducing – there’s your brains...

The first of Tracey O'Callaghan's two @adlfrin.ge performances of 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒔 & 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 is on in just under a fortnight — Sunday 22nd February at 4pm with a second show the following Friday, February 27th at 6pm.
It's my great pleasure to be MC for both slots.

You can then hear it at the Emerging Writers podcast archive with, I believe, an extra bonus reading that didn't fit in the broadcast version!

Thanks Geoffrey! I'm glad it gave something good — so hard to know from behind the desk!

Fun to spend Saturday afternoon w/ Spoken Word SA hearing excellent variations on nature #poetry this past weekend. Chuffed that my tangential take on 'human nature' landed well! Thanks Pam for hosting, Shaine for a great feature set & Ian for his excellent pics.
