Big 2R HR to dead CF for Pedro Ramirez. That's his 6th already and his career high for a season is 8. Cubs lead Bats 6-3 b5
Probably should be fired for that alone.
Go. Cubs. Go.
Pulp? Rookie. I got my daughter to say The Beach Boys were her favorite band.
Nah. It's "Torn."
2 home runs for Kevin Alcántara tonight. The Jaguar now has 7. Iowa leads Columbus 8-1 t6
2R HR for Owen Ayers in his first AB ever in South Bend. Cubs lead Sky Carp 2-0 b1
Kevin Alcántara just homered for the 6th time this year already. 3-1 I-Cubs over Columbus in the 3rd
What? That he should change the most awesome name ever? I don't think so!
That's the first hit the Cubs have had with runners in scoring position since 2018. Don't bother checking that. It's true.
The Cubs may actually have something in Riley Martin. I was hopeful before the season that he might be a contributer, but he's looking like he could end up as someone who gets critical innings out of the pen.
There was no way that I wasn't going to watch a show called "The Miniature Wife," but so far the show is not nearly silly enough. Or at least the weird existentialism of "The Incredible Shrinking Man."
Smokies win 8-7
Wow. I turned off the Smokies game when it was 7-0 Rocket City in the sixth. Now it's 8-7 Smokies in b8. Big 3R HR for Jefferson Rojas in the 8th.
I don't think Conforto is going anywhere when Suzuki comes back.
Ariel Armas with a 2R walk-off single as the Smokies beat the Trash Pandas, 8-7.
Obviously a Dodger first, but Lopes was a Cub from 1984 to 1986. He stole an unbelievable 47 bases in 51 attempts in '85 at the age of 40. Maybe the smartest baserunner who ever lived. bsky.app/profile/dodg...
Kevin Alcántara hit his 5th HR of the year tonight.
Seiya Suzuki is 2 for 3 with two doubles so far for the Smokies as they're blasting the Trash Pandas 13-4 in the 4th.
Other than a misplay by Michael Conforto, that should have been a no-hitter for the Cubs. On the other hand, Conforto drew the walk that ended up being the only run, so he blew the no-hitter and won the game.
Iowa wins 5th straight, 6-2. HRs for Alcántara, McCormick. Vince Velazquez with 1 run over 5 innings.
If it weren't for Michael Conforto, this game would be a double no-hitter in the eighth.
I don't think this dude is long for Myrtle Beach. bsky.app/profile/ball...
Jefferson Rojas' first AB of 2026 is a 3R HR. #Smokies
