Picked up Opus Prism Peak based on the very strong reviews. A couple of hours in it's a very lovely narrative adventure.

Loving jumping back into Starfield with the latest updates. As flawed as it is I find the atmosphere and vibe so relaxing. The new cruise mode adds a lot to that.

Hey y'all, I was recently hit by layoffs at Respawn/EA:
I'm a veteran #LevelDesigner with 17+yrs of exp in the AAA space (MP + SP, 3rd person + FPS).
I'm seeking a Principal Level Design or Lead LD/Design Manager role (I've worked in both IC + management) if y'all are hiring/know connections!
Congrats to the team at @hinterland.bsky.social and @raphlife.bsky.social for launching Episode 5 of The Long Dark's story content today.
If I were to compare the game to anything out there on the market it wouldn't be The Witcher 3 or Skyrim but something along the lines of Dragon's Dogma and its sequel due to how quirky and system driven it is.
One thing that I'm enjoying a lot in Crimson Desert is discovering or heading to an interesting looking location you spot in the world - there isn't necessarily a reward like we have gotten used to. The discovery and journey is the reward in itself.
I'm enjoying it but the controls are really janky and the mappings make no sense at times.
Somehow put 12 hours into Crimson Desert and just left the games second chapter.
Crimson Desert is so janky and has such a weird control scheme yet I'm absolutely captivated by it a few hours in.
It's a real slow burn and roaming around the countryside doing random side quests around the first settlement is highly enjoyable.
Nothing tops of a stressful week at work like hearing from your landlord that he is selling the place you are renting. Highly likely it will end up as an Airbnb or holiday rental like every other property sold in the area.
Resident Evil Requiem on Switch 2 is an absolute technical marvel
Between Musk and Altman it seems to be a race to see who can be the biggest arsehole in tech
It's freezing and very windy here in Scotland, so time to cozy up and fire up Skyrim again ๐คฃ
Seeing my dog go absolutely haywire anytime Pink Pony Club comes on is a pretty joyful experience

Rather enjoyed the Fallout season 2 finale, roll on season 3
That's such a shite hot take from a game designer considering survival games are some of the most complex systems driven games on the market.
Epstein files confirming that every piece of shit you thought might be a piece of shit is, in fact, a fucking piece of shit.
RIP Catherine O'Hara. Absolute legend
Glad to see Cairn reviewing well- it's looked compelling since it's initial reveal.
We can never have too much #Vinyl
Always feels a bit strange visiting St Andrews.
Tweet by Jatin @jatinkmalik The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible
Hoping that 2026 is gonna be a great year for colleagues, family and friends.
I'm also hoping that GenAI gets to fuck considering the ethical issues and the negative impact it's having in so many areas.
Film Club written and starring Aimee Lou Wood was such a good watch.
Watching the latest season of Hjem til Jul makes me miss Scandinavian xmas
Wrapped up work for the year yesterday, was confusing waking up this morning and not having to go to my home office to login. The dog after a morning walk and food automatically headed to her spot under my desk
