Norman Jay played this at a gig in April and it strangely sounded fresher now than it did back in the day β¦ π€ The room went crazy! ππͺ©π
The original release is from 1986 - the track became so popular that Atlantic swooped in and licensed it β¦
The problem: The solution:
Someone in government is really not reading the room: when we voted the Tories out, it was because we wanted change - Labourβs slogan. Instead, we have more of the same, and a spineless approach to the RW media. The net result of which will be Reform β¦ π€¦ββοΈ

π The intention was obviously to come up with an OMG twist at the end but after the initial drama, it fizzled out into a dull, binary βWhich of them is lying about the meeting?β argument. Then we had zero tension of four faithfuls not trusting each other ... π #thetraitors

All of it - one of his finest! πππππ
Wow - that list would look radically different in a couple of yearsβ time!
Were York Records something to do with then ITV franchise holder Yorkshire Television? That βYβ in the logo on the back is exactly the same as YTVβs β¦ π§π€
Brand enhancement β¦? π€ Although Iβm not sure what the actual brand is π€π€π€
Why is Mark Lawson not addressing the elephant in the room in this piece? The Tories installed yes men throughout the BBC - when will the now not so new government address this? www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...
I think the woman on the left of that picture is Jeanette Landray - at the time a member of TOTPβs last dance troupe, Zoo, but she then became a third of Banshees spin off act The Glove, with Robert Smith and Steve Severin β¦?
Especially the Number One mix! πππππ
π€£ I LOVE IT!!! π
If it was the MI5 option, I wonder if ITV would have had equivalent complimentary commercials like they did tonight, with the Yule log featured in the programme then advertised in the break? π€
So pleased you picked the brilliant #SomebodySomewhere - so refreshing to watch a series that happily ploughs its own furrow! πππππ
Why is the production company involved in this barely mentioned, and itβs all about βthe BBCβ? Shine/Banijay must know what is going on with their own shows, mustnβt they? There is absolutely a wider issue with broadcasters and on screen talent, but why is the production company being forgotten?
GW sounds like heβs auditioning for a job with Reform β¦ π€―
Heβs just doing what his friends in the States have told him to do - following their agenda, in return for β¦ what? I mean, thereβs gotta be a quid pro quo, right? πΆ
Agree with so much you say. But Iβd argue that there is a much wider conversation to be had about those working in end of life care: they are currently underpaid and undervalued β¦ yet others get away with skimming off public money for themselves. Time for a major change - and payback.
Also very poignant to see Jill Sinclair β¦ π
Absolutely! #DragRaceUK #Blakes7
Absolutely. And yet Lisa Nandy is strangely silent about the BBC having turned into a Tory stronghold β¦ please can someone remind her that her party is now in a position to do something about this, before itβs too late?
Jam & Lewis are also big SAW fans β¦ #justsaying π But I can imagine you and Gavin might want a break after all the extensive work youβve done!
Really looking forward to this - will miss you guys when the SAW journey finally concludes! Will you do another podcast? Someone ought to do a Journey Through Jam & Lewis, although I suspect getting the associated talent to speak could be tricky β¦? π€
