Check out this mod I've worked on, I gave Knuckles his own set of Sprites for Sonic 2 based on Judy Toyota's artwork of him. I had fun working on this and I hope you enjoy playing with these new sprites!
Available for Sonic 2 2013 via the RSDKv4 Decomp & Sonic Origins!

this sounds so great. i think the idea of taking stories traditionally associated with 'epic scale' and making them heartfelt and lo-fi through the creative artifice of people with real good taste is the way forward for all kinds of media, especially games

If you like thinking about how an unexamined assumption in one medium can be an avant garde revelation in another you should watch the latest

it's a pretty good manifesto, people. the greens are worthy of your list vote. as for my constituency, i may skip that ballot or just give it to that one socialist who'll get like 1% of the vote
it continues to stun me that trackmania, Literally The Coolest Thing Ever, has never moved beyond its extremely dedicated niche fanbase. this shit rocks no matter how you look at it
it's also got a poem about feeling bad for killing a mouse and later, another poem about saving a fly from a spider
i have been genuinely having an incredible time reading this book from 1805. a series of letters between two guys who are obsessed with a) magic tricks and b) complimenting each other

sonic the comic is really interesting to me in a similar way that super mario RPG is interesting to me: they're both these very early, very earnest attempts at storytelling in their respective settings that are trying to use what's there in the games at a period where neither had much to work with

thank you for this gift unto the world. it's genuinely so great and made me smile
i feel like quark would maybe start on the "my strongest coffee would kill a federation hu-man" bit before lapsing into "but I *can* sell it to you for a special price, of course"
still looking for level design work!
I can work in Unreal, Unity, and probably whatever in-house engine you'll throw at me. I have worked on DLC for Sniper Elite 5, various community mod projects, and custom maps for TF2 and Half-Life 2.

often have i yarned about Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and today i yarn again, for did you know: as you climb and roll around, dirt builds up on the prince's lovely pants, and if you stand idly he eventually brushes it off
they bothered to have each bit of dirt remove at the right time. gods
not enough multiplayer FPS games let you drive weird scifi vehicles these days. like who didn't love the warthog or banshee in halo 2 or trying to dice dudes up with the scorpion blades in ut2004. shrike in tribes 2, combined with the inherited velocity on the spinfusor to shoot disks at mach 8
being primarily a programmer i find it so distressing. there's so much fun and interesting creative problem solving in writing code and i just cannot understand the people who jumped at the chance to replace it all with endless rivers of garbage. it's so infuriating
i like to arrange my mac os dock so that frequently-used, low-memory apps like notes and calculator are right next to an app called Globohension Extracticrash Agnostify Compression Engine Mk. XIX that takes 45 minutes to load, five hours to close, and can only be used outdoors
i'm not very good at linked in
yeah let's just ditch The Best Modern Level Editor Of All Time and implement our own
hearing that s&box is completely ditching Hammer has made all my remaining interest for it drop through the floor
but the s&box devs are like this apparently anyway so
source 2 hammer is a truly excellent, undefeated, probably undefeatable level editor and the only reason anyone would fancy using source 2 or s&box... there is zero chance that someone who would want to replace it understands enough about it to get 5% of the way to imitating it
i am hearing that the s&box people are taking their branch of source 2 and uhhh "rewriting all the systems in c#" and uhhh "removing hammer" in favour of their own level editor. if true it is perhaps the stupidest thing anyone has ever heard of or will ever hear of again
I'd say Renderable if it can cover a wide range of stuff like 2d sprites and 3d meshes. Otherwise, I'd just use the specific term for the thing having its properties altered - Sprite, Control, Mesh, Material, etc.
i think that's exactly it. toy and art aren't in opposition to each other either. i think some people are embarrassed by play in general, that it's something only children should do - but we see evidence of play in adults across all records in all of human history. play is important for being human!
i think videogames are both Art and Toy and i think how much a videogame is art or toy varies wildly depending on the game. it's kind of like how food is both Art and Sustenance where something like hardtack is mostly sustenance, and something like a donut coated in edible gold is mostly (tacky) art

How can a company go "oh we're renaming your plan, adding new features and raising your price without your consent but it's not signing you up for a new plan oh no"
