I have two ideas for my AI app. Both have similar tools in the market so I don’t need to validate. One of them requires lot of engineering and the other one is not much. So going with simple one so I can easily move on if didn’t work out

So what happens to FileMinutes? Nothing changes. I'm going to keep building as before.

I think FileMinutes is the type of app that will slowly and steadily grow, and I'm looking at it for the long term.

F**k it. I'm building an AI app. I don't know what I'm going to build, but I'm building one. Why?

I knew about all the tech waves (mobile apps, cloud and crypto) that happened in recent years at their early stages but never capitalized on them. I won't make the same mistake this time. I'm all in.

I have tons of features to implement, marketing to do and have ideas for new apps but don't have time.

I should have started this journey earlier but no regrets.

I am building FileMinutes not only for others but for me as well. In the next version, I'm solving one of my pain points.

2024 is the year I finally took action after years of procrastination. I consider FileMinutes a success even with few sales because it has proven me that I can do anything if I focus.

2025 is all about growth. I plan to spend more time learning and experimenting with marketing.

I only had basic features in the first release of FileMinutes but still I have to make changes to some of them after the release.

This is why releasing early is important. Only after releasing you are going to get real feedback.

This caught my attention in the library. As a marketing newbie, I need to learn the basics but this looked more of theory. I need a practical guide

I hear your points. I was like that but not anymore. Nowadays I act like a product manager than a developer. My focus is getting things done. I have tons of feature requests and ideas, don’t have time to focus on tech.

Remember your focus is building the product. Not spending days on choosing the tech stack. Successful makers use the tech as just another tool. I know it is hard as a dev but I'm trying to change

How much percentage of the sales you give to your affiliate partners?

I thought I need another 3 months to feature complete my app but releasing it last month was the best decision.

If you haven’t released it yet, why haven’t you? Better be a good reason

Released the first update to FileMinutes after launch. Positive response from users, and more feature requests are coming in! Wish I had more time to implement them all.

Back to coding 🙌

Priority is to work on all the feedbacks received from customers. I’m using feedbacks as an input to refine features and prioritize but not blindly implementing exactly what the users asked. This is important for a successful product

Hi Erwin,
I have just launched my first MacOS. Black Friday season helped a lot. Now that it is over, going back to coding

Last one week was crazy. I released FileMinutes and made sales during Black Friday. I am happy with the small number of users I got. Going to focus on them and the product.

After all these years, finally I did

Thanks for the recommendation. As an early stage product, I’m planning to do all myself. It is a good experience too. But will remember at later stage

User Manual | FileMinutes Docs FileMinutes simplifies working with files on macOS with fast search, easy navigation, and integrated file actions in one app.

Completed initial version of FileMinutes docs. It is not perfect but good enough for users to understand. Later on I am planning reorganize and add videos.

I launched my app a week ago and immediately put up Black Friday offer. It was great, made multiple sales and many feature requests. Validated product market fit. Black Friday definitely helped it

Writing documentation is hard even for my own product. But it is important and I already found few UI/UX improvements as a result

Haven’t done much coding in the last three weeks. Focusing on the release, Black Friday prep, customer support, writing the user guide, ..etc. Starting to feel like a business owner now.

It’s sounds like you are running a shopping list website 🤣

Post it in as many as Black Friday listing websites

What do you use for writing user guide? My website is a static HTML so looking for something than can convert Markdown to HTML. Not interested in React based web apps
