They were turned away at the door.

This is South Carolina. It is not a scientific survey but people did take time to vote. 70%. Seventy percent. 70% did NOT approve of the governor sending troops to DC.

A third of SC private schools that got vouchers in 2024 have anti-LGBTQ rules 51 of the private schools that received public voucher dollars last year do not approve of LGBTQ students, The State’s review found.

This is why private schools wanted tax dollars. They want to indoctrinate our children and create a tiered system of education instead of education for all! This is unconstitutional!

Still very timely in SC- they have raised beginning teacher pay, removed points requirements for 5 year license renewals for experienced Ts & guaranteed work days at the start of the year. Yet, they’re piloting a program where someone can serve as a T for 3 years wo being in a T prep program! 😳

They're NC's fastest-growing source of new teachers. But thousands of them are leaving every year North Carolina's fastest-growing teacher population is career-switchers on limited licenses. But they say the time and costs required to get a full license is too much to stay in the profession.

You can’t focus on recruitment without improving working conditions and pay. Period.

“Thousands…who switched careers to become North Carolina public school teachers are leaving their roles within three years…the latest indicator of the hiring challenges plaguing school districts across the state.”

South Carolina if we get another chance to vote, please stop voting like a billionaire, unless you are one. Don’t vote against your own self interests or those of your neighbors, family and friends. Because our representatives are not at all concerned.

When I visited Ralph Norman’s DC office in 2019, there was a Trump bobble head on the desk. Must have been a reminder that,even if he talks a big game on fiscal responsibility, his MO is to cave & nod mindlessly for policies like the 💩budget bill. #SC

I called Ralph Norman’s office earlier this week & today. The sweet staffer today tried to explain that the bill wasn’t going to cut SNAP benefits, but “reform the program to make it better.” 😂
That’s some next-level pretzel logic there.
