Going for cleaner lines right off the bat could also help improve confidence in shapes and lessen the work it takes to get to the finished piece.

Either way I trust you'll figure out a way. Your art's really good and your use of colour and values is especially nice!

This partially comes from an idea where I imagine the digital canvas as if it was a physical one. There are no layers in a physical piece, so it breathes and evolves with each stroke you take. This helps me consider the sketch as an actual part of the finished work instead of "just a sketch".

I've sort of started working around the sketching process by skipping it entirely (aka the "sketch" is the final, which I just refine bit by bit). If I do sketch, I tend to try and keep it as simple and minimalistic as possible, so it acts only as the barebones reminder of what my idea was.

Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.

This moment will never cease to make me cheer out loud. One of the greatest moments in cinema. It has so much power to it.
