If a game has an option to pick a swarm of orbiting drones as a weapon I’m always picking them, no question.

I need Luke to play Pragmata when he’s back so he can go “man, what a nice game” in blog form but I never know what his “nope” barrier is.
That’s (legally and truly) Stella.
“I had a rough start but I’m normal and nice and don’t let it define me” is probably the most mature bit of character building I’ve seen a game like this do in a while.
I guess the counterpoint is that even shit for babies has more active subs.
The part where he goes to the subreddit and sees three posts is probably the most damning bit, I know a dead subreddit on sight. I know games that got taken offline that have more active subs.
i always forget i put this in that chart and it makes me laugh every time
The Folding Ideas Mr. Beast video is well made while stating the obvious but its real utility is letting everyone admit that this shit is pretty clearly dying given the scale of his operation.
I think the reason I’m responding well to Pragmata is because it doesn’t pull maudlin shit. Sometimes a story is characters hanging out.
I think the PS4 era cemented the idea that melodrama equals story into the minds of gamers harder than any other specific time period, often to the detriment of storytelling, and it’s gonna take years to unlearn that.
Now imagining the Northernlion-coded and Hasan-minions in my mind.
None of them ever say what the agents are doing aside from “coding” or “their job” and when they do it’s often sad in a revealing way
Part of the reason we are seeing the tech dorks say they are over consumer focused tech and focusing on enterprise is because they don't know what normal humans want or how they use computers, or to put it more bluntly: bsky.app/profile/vorn...
Great piece that reiterates something everyone who is not a weird bay area freak or sucked into the AI hype cycle understands implicitly. There's no magic left, these people have barren imaginations.
A fun fact about samples you hear repeated is that they are often sourced from the same sample CD from the 90s. There's one sample CD that covers, conservatively, like 30 percent of Bemani songs from a certain era, half of Jet Set Radio, and that one Muslim Zelda track bsky.app/profile/marz...
I kept posting about it in slack thus activating Slack Law (if you post about something enough you have to write about it)
Watching Lord of the Flies, being British seems rough.
Ordering Crab Rangoon and having to make a mental note not to also add “things of that nature” to the old Chinese lady.
The intermittent lav cutouts add a little spice to it

Maybe we'll keep some InfoWars content up.
Right??
its how it blew up!
I think we technically reviewed it twice but Luke has been enjoying it a lot aftermath.site/death-strand...
Also please enjoy the several Amiga demoscene embeds, I also went out of my way to track down and identify both samples used in the Moon Child theme.
The thing that strikes me about Moon Child is how rough a time Team Hoi had of it by their telling, screwed over by multiple publishers and for distribution to be hobbled by a bad investment in the Phillips CD-i. This love feels like karma.
For @aftermath.site, I spoke with @seven.eurosky.social about the sudden, viral love for Moon Child and the rocky history that led to it. aftermath.site/moon-child-t...
Apple is one of the few companies that remembers they sell physical products that people buy, they have an infinite money glitch amount of capital to dump into research, and as a result they still make great products. I have my qualms with their choices but the chips rock.
This has been in the works for a while but Ternus is a hardware guy and their hardware has been their strongest suit for the last few years. Very smart choice instead of some AI freak.
