Yeah, I think that's fair. I go back and forth on it myself, but it may just be the push I need to go direct with a bunch of places and do my best with that. I never sold enough through D2D to make it worthwhile.

I don't think the math would work out for me on this. I have a large book and sell it just over cost, and the threshold for D2D is after all costs. I'd have to buy a LOT of books to get there. But it is possibly an idea for others

Yeah, I hadn't even thought about the process about removing things. I feel lucky that I only have the single book to deal with.

Except, its not going to stop any slop that makes $100. So its not entirely effective. But for me, so few sales come from D2D, its hard to justify paying them. I'm direct with a few places and that may be what I do from now on.

Thanks! I'll look into streetlib. I have thought about direct accounts, and do have a couple, it's just a lot of extra work. I like some of the smaller options D2D provides, but can't really justify paying them if they're not going to sell

Yeah. Almost all of my sales have been through Amazon, which I hate but it's the reality. I liked having D2D for anyone willing to switch to another platform, but I just don't move many books through them. Like I can't get over paying them to sell so few books. Direct accounts may be the way to go.

This is good advice, thanks. I sell so few books through D2D, its hard to say it's worth it. I like their ability to reach libraries and international stores...etc., but it's seems silly to me to pay them to sell so few books.

Yup, some characters are very superstitious and believe in luck and curses and others believe their destiny is already set and still others believe it's all nonsense and are skeptical. Part of the story explores those beliefs.
