Try critical thinking about Starmer and McSweeney’s Labour and Reform may not get elected. Oh and I wasn’t a Corbyn fan either. You lot on this thread really need to learn to listen and get out of your bubble.

I’m not media or far left. I’m pro unity, anti Machiavelli. . I like some things Labour have done, others are embarrassing. Are you justifying ‘island of strangers’ and arresting retired vicars? Palentir?

No. They aren’t. Stop implying you’re superior. I despise Reform. That doesn’t excuse Labour together being disgraceful and making immoral decisions. They care more about ‘right of labour’ power than preventing Reform. Labour needs unity and the right values not manipulation of power

Are we agreeing that this was a mistake? Starmer’s inadequacy, preceded by McSweeney’s war against anyone not on the right, is the cause of the infighting. It’s time to get real. Starmer staying will lead to Reform, he isn’t popular and will never be so, country matters before Keir

There’s been a mix of good and terrible and if you can’t see the terrible the voters certainly can. Open your eyes

McSweeney and Starmer’s authoritarian behaviour has closed heathy debate, a safeguard against own goals. But then we got the own goals and we’re still getting them. I have huge respect for someone having the bravery to challenge and try and get things right. Are you one of the sycophants?

‘Huge mistake’: Labour in turmoil as Burnham blocked from byelection race Allies of Greater Manchester mayor say No 10 has ‘chosen factionalism’ as decision leads to a furious backlash

A truly weak and stupid decision by the NEC to block Burnham from standing. The seat will now likely fall to Reform.

Starmer is the least popular PM ever and him staying in post will hand the country to Farage.

I’m bored of Starmer and McSweeney and bored of Reform being ahead in the polls. Put the people before the power hungry NEC

The decision you took today on Burnham may put the fascists in charge

Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

Child poverty will rise in parts of the UK, warns charity A leading charity has warned that economic growth alone won't tackle deep-seated levels of poverty.

Really good reporting from
@channel4news.bsky.social on the uk’s shameful rate of child poverty.

We need an ambitious child poverty strategy that starts to rebuild Universal Credit so it protects families when they fall on hard times

Looking like this important programme is to continue for at least another year. Happy for those who have worked so hard to make this a success and campaign to retain it, including my colleagues at Streetgames

@drhelennuttall.bsky.social really enjoyed that session on the neuroscience of music tonight. Loads of questions from major to minor and whether choice is social or scientific, but great to understand more. Thank you
