So if you buy marijuana from a medical marijuana store and then sell it to someone that's a schedule III drug, but if you buy identical marijuana from a guy who grew it in his basement that's a schedule 1 drug?

"and that persons obtain not Pardons when they have ruined the Nation"
Reading the Declaration of Rights debate in parliament (like a normal person does) and I thought this was a good line
"Weak Judges will do weak things; their master commands them; they read no books, and know nothing to the contrary."
The speaker was almost certainly just attacking 1 guy though.
Before the event the students asked if there would be an open Q&A, they said no, so after the event the students left and were kind of noisy doing so for like 45 seconds.
I've been at GVP events where gun people try to block our stage and shout down our speakers and we don't whine 1/1000th as much
You: ButJokic has 6 top 25 PER seasons, is he the best basketball player of all time?
Me: Yes, probably.

I see Jordan v. LeBron debate is popping up.
I've always felt like PER did the best job of creating an advanced stat that's consistent with the eye test.
All time Jordan has 7 top 50 seasons and 9 top 100 seasons.
Lebron has 4 top 50 seasons, 8 top 100 seasons and 13 top 200 seasons.
It's just unthinkable that it'd get by.
SSRN has approved the upload of my latest article, Restoration of Federal Firearms Rights: The DOJ's Administrative Revival of § 925(c). This program for felons and others to restore their gun rights was dormant since 1992. Check it out!

You'd get 3rd and 4th parties that way too.
This is just unfathomable to me. Is S&C not cite checking?
For our briefs we literally check every word, even if it's language we used in prior briefs.
I kind of vaguely understand being this sloppy if you are a solo practitioner but a big firm like this!
Re establishment, meanwhile, it’s interesting to note the way “history and tradition” operate differently for the First Amendment vs. the Second. Under Bruen/Rahimi, historical silence means the government is not authorized to act; limits on gun ownership must have been specifically approved
this is so profoundly dishonorable
I'm excited to share that we've made a collection of historic Supreme Court Records and Briefs available via
@archive.org
I've written a blog post where I go into detail about the importance of this collection.

Good try FBI, but you'll never take down any real Italians with a Prego sauce branded wiretap.
I get that she says the right things (that's not nothing), but her tenure at FTC was a complete failure. She alienated staff that actually knew what they were doing, tried a bunch of obviously doomed to failure anti-trust things, and allowed her agencies power to get gutted by SCOTUS.
Re: the new SCOTUS religious school funding case -- Espinoza is absolutely indefensible on originalist grounds.
The Fourteenth Amendment was ratified in 1868 and that's the relevant time period for interpreting its protections.
No second amendment cert grants from today's orders list and a fair number of denials mostly in prohibitor cases.
The Court did deny a challenge to the National Firearms Act's Silencer prohibition brought by some gun lobby groups.

My fat fingers can't do the decals for the shields so I just did one for each and am calling it the centurion.
You really shouldn't put Randy Orton in a main event if he can't wrestle for more than 30 seconds without needing a break
Where is Danhausen?!
HHH: how should we start Wrestlemania?
WWE minion: How about John Cena comes out and acknowledges that the card is terrible?
HHH: Yes, great idea. But after that?
Minion: how about a 1 star match featuring multiple problematic Youtubers that buries a bunch of our stars?
HHH: absolutely!
Some key takeaways from new work with @marknevitt.bsky.social:
🚫Funding the military long term through reconciliation is unconstitutional
🚫Long-term military funding in OBBA is unconstitutional
❓Maybe ICE funding too
🚫Tapping the Judgment Fund for defense procurement contracts is unconstitutional
I think staying on the court into his late 80s is a good plan and support him in it.
Someone who used every tool at his disposal to overthrow our democratically elected government is most emphatically not a "good man," and most emphatically does deserve to have his career destroyed.
Hawaii and Alaska are just lucky they are outside of Iran's coring range.
Me in EUIV as Russia trying to fight Sweden too early and having to peace them out with a 50% war score deal.
