The elephant orb has turned square and OXIDIZED
I despise with the heat of a thousand suns the way I have to be suspicious of all art I see now while I investigate it's authenticity, because this couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the state of mind one should be in while taking in all art.
Question for anybody sharing a Tomodachi Life addiction right now! Does the "Fashionista" quirk weight a Mii's clothing choices based on how much they say they like an outfit/piece when you give it to them, or is it fully random? Just need to know how much fine-tuning I need to do for wardrobes.

I'm really glad that shading helped to tone down the psychotic look this one had pre-shading.
You must be REALLY excited for this game to post about it four times!

On one hand, look at this good boy. That head of hair is *glorious*.
On the other hand, the 4x weaknesses to both Water and Ground are decidedly un-glorious. :(
This is a pencil sketch of both forms of Indeedee. The lower left is the male form, upper right is the female form. The text at the bottom reads "#0876, Indeedee, 4/19/2026"

Kind of an off-model day, the weather has once again conspired against me and my energy levels.
This is so true
Are you sure you want to hire a human being with skill, talent, and experience and not just continue outsourcing the site's development to AI vibe-coding so more stuff can break?
This is a pencil sketch of Stunfisk in its Galarian regional form. The text at the bottom reads "#0618, Galarian Stunfisk, 4/18/2026"
Daily Pokemon art practice Bonus #37: Galarian Stunfisk
I believe this is the last of the Galarian forms! I think I'll just move right on to the Hisuian forms tomorrow, since they're still part of gen 8.

I ALMOST decided to draw the cubeless version instead. Maybe I should have added one in the corner.
This is a pencil sketch of Stonjourner. The text at the bottom reads "#0874, Stonjourner, 4/17/2026"
Daily Pokemon art practice #874: Stonjourner
Honestly exactly my vibe for a Pokemon. A goofy, weirdly expressive pile of rocks that stomps around in a funny way. I always get the impression that Stonjourner is an unpopular one, but I really like it.

A very on-the-nose name for a very beautiful and elegant Pokemon.
Batman breaking apart a shotgun labeled "AI", while saying "This is the weapon of the enemy. We do not need it. We will not use it."
I take it the AI-generated code isn't working out too well?
Who could have ever predicted that?
BLUESKY IS A WEBSITE THAT TURNS (post by jay.bsky.team claiming that bluesky is made with AI) INTO (picture of bluesky not working)

I can't believe I drew two butt-faced Pokemon in a row
But I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Snom, when I first encountered it in Shield I just screamed its name in glee.
This is a pencil sketch of Pincurchin. The text at the bottom reads "#0871, Pincurchin, 4/14/2026"

Yet another in the ever-growing list of "What do you mean it's not Water-type?"
This time with a butt on its face :p
This is a pencil sketch of Falinks. The text at the bottom reads "#0870, Falinks, 4/13/2026"
Daily Pokemon art practice #870: Falinks
If you separate one from the rest, does it become a Falink?
I do this as well with my sketches. If something doesn't come out right, it still goes up on the timeline.

I wonder how many of these there are who never got to evolve because their trainers could never figure out the needlessly convoluted and specific evolution method.

One of my six core team members in Shield. It's just too adorable.
It also took me way too long to realize its name is a reference to alchemy.
knowing what was set up in episodes 1-7, and with Episode 9 as the finale to the series, I doubt they're going to squeeze in a full recap.
A better approach, in my opinion, would have been to release Episode 9 as normal, and create a "theatrical edition" of the show for wider distribution.
or the overall plot. They're literally just jumping in at the end and to the average moviegoing public (which, again, they're trying to reach and open the door for indie animation) it won't be something that they understand, because they have no way TO understand. Episode 8 itself is very reliant on
Going into this series at the end (which some people are going to do, it's not ONLY going to be fans who have been watching since the beginning) won't paint a positive picture of it. The average moviegoer isn't going to know who these characters are, why they look like they do, what the stakes are,
I feel like only releasing episodes 8 and 9 in the theater, without setting any context up for people who HAVEN'T already seen the series on YouTube or Netflix, will just confuse anyone going in without any prior knowledge and kind of hurt indie animation's reputation as "weird" and "random".
I'm immunocompromised and can't safely go to a theater to see Episode 9, which means for two weeks I'm going to have to cut off all contact with my online circles, YouTube, Bluesky, and some offline ones just so I can properly enjoy the finale when I'm able to watch it.
Is that legitimate enough?
