As for the 'farmers feed us' BS - if we were to rely on what is produced in Ireland we'd be lucky not to get rickets, never mind scurvy.

I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
I’ve heard of social tenants not getting access to on site gym facilities etc and that’s bad enough but this is genuinely stunning. Imagine how much of a thundering cunt you’d have to be to do this to a disabled child
Exactly one year ago today:
There was no hostility and aggression in Roscommon before headshops! (Citation needed)
Legal High Effects: Paranoia, anxiety and fear Mental slowing Feelings of sinking into nothingness Indifference and apathy
I mean, it’s Roscommon, you’d have a cheek to ascribe some of these to the drugs
Imagine if you will a political action group so reactionary and sadistic that it was set up with the sole aim of forcing people to experience *Roscommon* without a protective cushion of mind altering drugs.
Erika Kirk breaks silence as she pulls out of JD Vance event at the last minute
JD Vance is really not very good at this catholic stuff, surely he should be the one pulling out at the last minute?

Sure yes, but that hits different in 2026.
People used to vote for Fianna Fáil in the belief that doing so would entitle them to do the stuff that their local Fianna Fáilers were universally perceived as regularly be getting up to; that promise died with the housing crisis.
I mean look, this looks bad to you and me, but it's the sort of thing that would have made FF pick him as a candidate; the story of why he *shouldn’t* be a candidate has yet to break and won't break until the funniest moment possible.
Must get some maths grinds off you one of these days.
Most of the people in that article queueing overnight for yeezys were all either being paid to queue or were expressly queuing to be able to resell the shoes on the secondary market to invent some money to eat with, and the UK isn't even being blockaded by a nuclear power.
Oh man, I've been absolutely loathing that prick ever since he was a fresh faced backbencher, the whole weirdo war-on-christmas shtick, the forced reopening of Phoenix Park to car traffic during Covid, it genuinely felt like a calculated insult when they made him the arts minister and I'm no artist.
To be clear: I think O'Donovan is perfectly within his rights to call for this review; it's squarely within his remit, and perhaps once it results in a benign opportunity for mature reflection we might live to see a similar one conducted into the coverage of an actual genocide.
When Sinn Féin suggested something similar, to enquire why the national broadcaster's editorial line on Gaza is indistinguishable from the average Itamar Ben-Gvir tweet, it was darkly painted as Stalinist overreach and an assault on the freedom of the press.
I would love a grown-up debate on free speech in Ireland, like how civil servants are effectively barred from participating in public discourse so politicians and the press use them as a cheap punching bag with no meaningful right to respond or to otherwise defend themsleves, even from outright lies
Dear old friend has been forced into selling off his incredible record collection due to a sudden hardship, go have a look.
Ahhhh I'd say that was great fun! Just caught Carrier and Om Unit there this evening as part of Saccade festival. Made a swift exit shortly after because I am old and decrepit.
At a party in a disused prison in Bristol, the cells have been turned into wee chillest rooms, this is what abolition will look like one day
One of the ways protests work is by sheer numbers. It takes a lot of people to block a city, ergo a lot of people feel strongly about an issue.
When 11 fascists with massive vehicles block a motorway it presents a disproportionate picture of the level of support.
I personally oppose the use of state violence to break up protests, but of course exceptions must be made in cases where it would be funny
Funniest thing is that every single one of these protesters has spoken the words "you know what they should do? They should call the army in" at least once in their lives
You can set email alerts if you make an account, so all you have to do is make one for yourself and as long as you don't get an email saying you're dead there's no need to be freaked out.
I think it's worse than hypocrisy or double standards, it's complicity.

I know. Tom McConnell too. The worst of the worst right in the thick of it.
Thing is, those tractors blocking O'Connell Street ARE a climate change protest, it just so happens the protesters don't believe in climate change and so they are protesting against their perception that too much is being done to mitigate against it (that "too much" being a modest carbon tax).
Take all the cars and trucks out of the city between the two canals permanently I say
Two men with flags on a motorway overpass flying flags in support of the pop up fuel protests. One flag says “Erin go Bragh” the other flag is the symbol of the Irish nazi party (clown Ireland) which contains a celtic style symbol with a resemblance to a swastika.
I see the Irish Nazi’s are out supporting the fuel people as well. It’s almost as if it isn’t just about fuel …….
