This was an absolute blast to do! And yes, it’s the sort of magnificent madness you should expect at FantasyCon.

a brightly-coloured tarot card spread - French Cross

little reminder that I have made a (very well reviewed) tarot deck using linoprinting and ✨absolutely zero A/I✨, & I'm moving house soon, so if you could buy some decks I'll have fewer boxes to move! #tarot

Ya know this guy?

They make coffee

And whatever profits they make go towards EMS/firefighters who have been hurt on the job and need support.

Why give my money to Starbucks when the Fire Dept. Coffee is cheaper and also goes to a good cause?

I'm making one last push to let people know about this online talk -- sponsored by the British Library in conjunction with their current exhibition on fairy tales. The live stream starts at 7:30 tonight, but if you buy a ticket *before* the event you can watch it any time over the next 7 days.

two tarot cards: two of wands and ten of wands

two tarot cards: two of wands and ten of wands

card pull for today: being really clear about what's wrong & how to change it does not mean you are to change it all by yourself. it's too big and will break you. We change these things effectively in community: find yours, & remember to rest & reset *before*, not at, burnout. #tarot #tarotsky

If it's the church I think it is, I can't place the angle. Hmm.

Here's a little challenge for you for #MKMonday - where was this photo taken? It's a church somewhere in the Milton Keynes area. We'll reveal the answer this afternoon if no one has gotten it!

A great chance to work with some amazing scholars in partnership with significant cultural institutions. Plus Swansea is a gorgeous location.
Sorry for the lack of alt text, it's just a screenshot of the page when you click the link.

Print, book, and pen people:

I am going to need a new supply of fountain pen friendly white paper, A3 size, probably 75-80gsm, as budget-friendly as possible. Quite happy for it to be copier / inkjet paper as long as it behaves right.

Any recommendations? (Please share!)

We learned all the wrong lessons from the pandemic. We should have learned that remote working was a very positive thing!

If you give me a free trial so I can make an informed decision that I want to subscribe you shouldn’t rely on me just forgetting to cancel, which results in me paying for a product or service I likely don’t even use.

This. They're moving toward antivirals that kill multiple viruses with mRNA. Cancer cures. And they don't have to poison my neighbors to do any of that.

Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, when I was transitioning, Stonewall cared more about access to power and money than about queer people. By appointing a transphobic washed-up Labour politician as Chair they have signalled a return to that position.

We have a chance of removing the Online Safety Act!

Any UK residents, PLEASE take the time to fill out the whole form. If we want to remove ID verification on websites that actually don't need it, we need to take action NOW!

Just FYI, there is a tiny indie bookshop in Afflecks Palace in MCR that ONLY sells fantasy (and a tiny bit of horror). Not even SF. Bugbear Books - check them out if you're in the area. I was very well behaved because I was already broke but I got a copy of The Fox Wife which looks great.
Pls share?
