Just read O Brother by John Niven. That’s going to stay with me for a long time.

Good shout! Just bought a copy as I only bought the download when it was released.
Who would have thought Steve from Ride would release the best Shoegaze record of the year? Didn’t see that coming.
Sisters of Mercy were awesome last night! Kai is a perfect addition to the band.
#hayfestival Ruth Jones and James Corden came across as lovely people - and very genuine and humble too. An absolute delight to hear them talking about Gavin and Stacey.
They arrived! A bloke brought them later in the day, so all is good in the world.
Where have all the deckchairs gone! #hayfestival
Vashti Bunyan - Wayward. What an utterly magical book.
Perfect night in Newport with the Mekons.
And looks like we might be getting a whole remix album? Hope they are all this good.
The Four Tet remix of The Cure's Alone is simply gorgeous.
Rachel’s singing was gorgeous last night. I’ve seen them a lot, and it’s always lovely, but last night - wow! #slowdive
Slowdive last night. One thing that struck me is a lot of the audience is so young that even songs from self titled are welcomed like ancient classics.
Slowdive tonight…
Very much enjoyed Inkubus Sukubus last night. I missed playing with All Living Fear when we supported them a couple of years ago as I was unwell so great to see them.
It’s awesome!
Bdrmm album is awesome. Mixing electronic sound in with their gazey guitars and vocal sounds great and some brilliant songs.
Drop Nineteens, Bdrmm and Andy Bell records acquired, along with Simon Raymonde’s book and the live Cure on vinyl. A good days shopping.
Andy Bell, Bdrmm and Drop Nineteens all have new vinyl out on 28th Feb. Is that right?
Iggy pop
Uncut top 200 goth albums - some very curious choices indeed
I went to Seattle last week and visited Sub Pop record store expecting it to be full of vinyl like we see in record shops in the UK. It wasn’t. It was tiny! Where should I have gone?
Probably Maybe Someday - top tier Cure for me.
This morning I am listening to a nice yellow vinyl version of Delaware by Drop Nineteens which is a great start to the weekend.
Loved the new Bob Dylan film.
I was there for this one!
Happy new year
Cocteau Twins - Exeter, 1994. I’d loved them since I was 15 but I still didn’t really appreciate how special this was. I’d assumed there would be many more times, but this was it.
Whoops! It was Spiralée this year wasn’t it! Oh well…
