KNOWING (2009) from Alex Proyas who did the incredible DARK CITY (1998), delivers an uneven, but unexpected film about faith verses free will - like DONNIE DARKO, do we make choices or are they made for us? NEXT (2007) has that vibe as well, does seeing the future free us or blind us?

While not really a LAND OF THE DEAD fan, I don’t think it’s aged anywhere near as well as the original trilogy, it’s still a solid entry in the series. The 90’s remake is a great example of how to take a classic and both update it, but keep the vibe of the original.

Madonna - I Feel So Free (Official Visualizer)
Madonna - I Feel So Free (Official Visualizer) YouTube video by Madonna

WARNING! - flashing lights! Strobe! - new Madonna, sequel Madonna to her CONFESSIONS album. Pretty good, really builds, but feels more like BEDTIME STORIES, which is my 2nd favorite Madonna album. Looking forward to hearing the full album.

I have over 500hrs played in ELDEN RING and I still haven’t beaten it. I love this game. I abandoned my husband at BEARS ON ICE to play it when it came out…but never once did I ever think: I wish this was a movie. This is meant to be played, to be experienced, not watched with popcorn. Baffling…

I love that NANCY is really a window into the past. Someone should really teach a class based around comics from the Great Depression to and thru WWII with references to the jokes / gags based around the history of the time.

Japan, especially Nintendo, loves food puns and names with their games.

Double Feature Sunday, back to the 80’s! Each film was its own movie, but the first was more grounded, the second leans in more heavily on fantasy, fantastical set pieces and a by the numbers plot - but it’s a better movie, yet oddly requires you to watch the first to follow it. A good Sunday…
