The big question, if Whyte actually could mimic Stan so well no one could spot it, is why Stan didn't hire Whyte to just...write Marvel Comics? He hired Roy and Denny and Gerry and Archie and others, and none of them could match Stan's style as well as Whyte...if Whyte actually wrote the issues...
I have read it. People keep promising more, and I'm eager to see it if it ever arrives.
Until then, we don't know whether Whyte ghosted the top-line comics in Lee's name, or if he just wrote Bullpen Bulletins, Stan's Soapboxes and the like, which we've known for many years got ghosted.
A recent essay on Ron Whyte's work at Marvel, which seems to have been a lot more extensive then previously thought. Comic book historians may have hit the jackpot.

I was not familiar with Ron Whyte before this, but it sounds like he had more of a part at Marvel Comics than most people are willing to admit.
Panel one of a four panel comic. The Weird Doctor Strangelittle says "You've heard of the Monkey's Paw. But do you know what became of the rest of the monkey's parts? Author's Note: If you don't know the story of The Monkey's Paw by W. W. Jacobs, this comic won't make much sense to you. Even if you do know the story it might not make any sense.
Panel two. The Monkey's Nose. A farmer holds a monkey's severed snout and says, "It's the craziest damn thing. You kiss the nose three times and the next day there's a snack-size zagnut bar under your pillow. Sure do wish I liked me a zagnut bar".
Panel three. The Monkey's Left Testicle. A distraught, mutated woman covered in warts says "I threw the damned thing in the river. You Can see where that got me". Behind her giant upright walking Lovecraftian frogs are chattering to one another.
panel four. The Monkey's Ass. A disgruntled man holds up a severed monkey's ass, which is surrounded by flies. The man says "I tried everything. I made wishes, rubbed it, sang to it, offered up sacrifices...nothing. Not a thing. I'm beginning to think it's just a plain old monkey's ass. Thus endeth the comic.
