That's so true. And so blatantly obvious to anyone with common sense. But the media here in Germany report on Trump daily as if he were a perfectly normal, rational person.
It's so disgusting and sad. One is truly ashamed of these failures in the media. But they have no shame.

That's not yet known. But it wouldn't surprise me if he were to claim now that the election in Hungary was rigged.
Since you were initially talking about states, it's only fair that we continue to talk about states. You're right, too: I live in Germany and have seen a lot of Europe. Everywhere I look, it's just wasteland, emptiness, boring landscapes. I hear it's the same in Africa and Asia. You are so lucky 😉
Mark Rutte has no backbone, which makes it easier for him to live in his favorite spot: Trump's backside. Rutte doesn't try to flatter Trump because he thinks it might be useful. What he says is actually his own opinion. A European defense alliance would be welcome, but Rutte can stay where he is.
Agree. Europe MUST break free from the USA. Not just in militarily terms, but in all areas, especially IT. Trading with the USA, just as we conduct peaceful and free trade with other countries, is fine. Contrary to what Trump says, the USA has lived at our expense for decades. That has to stop.
This error didn't just slip through, even with autocorrect at work. Given that more than one person proofread it before printing, there's only one conclusion: US defaultism at its finest. So much for the NYT.
But I bet 80% of readers won't think anything of it. No bells will ring in their heads.
Good luck with that. But don't be surprised if one day you have a knife in your back.
You are probably right. But what does that tell us? That the USA is on the best path to a brilliant future and is the greatest of all? And that American citizens can rest easy in their beds and burn oil like there's no tomorrow? Maybe even bomb a few more countries and feel great about it?
And rightfully so.
I really like this song. My favorite Byrds song, however, is Eight Miles High. As someone born in the late 1950s and raised on progressive rock and songs longer than 10 minutes, I also really like Golden Earring's version. In fact, I'm listening to Golden Earring right now. 🙂
But still, a third of Americans support this traitor to humanity and his administration. And if they weren't themselves affected by high gas prices, there would be even more. They have the democratic means to put an end to it. They don't want to. That says enough about the American people of today.
Perhaps he'll announce the withdrawal from NATO. That will please Putin and will initially be very problematic for NATO. In the long run, however, we're better off without the imperialist USA. We should try to expand the alliance, for example, to include reliable partners like Australia.
Which Congress? The one that supposedly has the Power of the Purse but is completely ignored regarding tariffs, etc.? The one that supposedly has the sole authority to authorize wars? That Congress?
Oh... I agree with you, but I wouldn't bet money on that. Politicians of all parties are used to disappointing voters, even millions of voters. Usually through their policies, but also in every other way.
Regardless of whether one approves of the increased spending or not: Rutte is Trump's puppet, and I feel sick just seeing him, let alone hearing him speak. Rutte as NATO Secretary General is a complete miscast.
Traitors should be treated as such.
They can do whatever they want. And they do.
And you watch helplessly and do nothing. Every now and then you appeal to the courts, hoping for a ruling in your favor someday in the future. In the meantime, the enemies of democracy are creating facts on the ground.
Wake up and DO something!
💯 Man kann gar nicht soviel essen wie man kotzen möchte 🤑
Almost grateful that Adam occasionally spouts such BS. Otherwise, I might get the idea that we're both in the same boat. While I, as a German, am not trapped in your rigid two-sided ideology and can easily share many of Adam's views, it's still good to know that there are boundaries that separate us
Oh my... the same discussion all around the globe.
*Sigh*
Personally, I'd be happy if it were done like in the Middle Ages: when the sun is at its zenith, it's noon.
Think about it. Especially what that would mean for you.
Or just educate yourselves and search online for "sunrise equation." 😉
The red line is far, far behind you. So far, in fact, that you've forgotten you're even across it. But in reality, there is no red line at all. It's like a myth, a story parents tell their children when they're afraid of the bogeyman.
And just look at how Ben Stiller says "please" so nicely.
Perhaps they have an inner desire to experience an educated, eloquent and fearless woman who can formulate complete - even complex - sentences without resorting to hate speech and is up to the task of looking the enemy in the eye. And to see one who has a real backbone.
As a German, I can only hope that our government would act similarly. I don't know the specifics, but I believe we can prohibit the use of bases like Ramstein or our national airspace for this purpose. If not, it's time to close the US bases in this country asap.
Comparisons to the Nuremberg Trials are frequently heard these days. But back then, the victors sat in judgment over disempowered monsters. Now you yourselves must judge your own heinous criminals. And you already demonstrated to the world between 2017 and 2020 just how capable you are of doing so.
I find it incomprehensible how Trump can have 39 percent approval ratings! This shows that there is something fundamentally wrong with the American people. Very very wrong. And this isn't a recent development. And it won't disappear with Trump. You will continue to be a lost cause!
I do.
The way I see it, Americans boast about pretty much everything, about the "checks and balances" above all else. We see what that's worth today. The Trump administration, the USSC, and the Republicans don't give a damn about it, just like they don't give a damn about the Constitution.
I agree with almost all here, but I wonder if the photo is real or AI-generated. Does anyone know? Unfortunately, these days you have to ask this question. If it's real: to hell with her. If it's AI, we have to ask ourselves if we shouldn't be more careful about which bandwagon we jump on.
You think there will be one? Maybe. But fair and free? I'm sorry for you, but keep dreaming.
