AI is profoundly unpopular. A recent NBC News poll found that among 18-34 year-olds, AI's net favorability rating is -44. *Negative 44*. Those are basically serial killer numbers. It's not much better among women 18-49. (Men over 50 and upper class are the only ones who like AI, and just barely.)
One of the people laid off by Marvel Studios is character artist Jana Schirmer, after working there for 7 years.
She did incredible art and worked on a lot of projects, including First Steps, She-Hulk, Shang-Chi, and Multiverse of Madness, as seen in the artbooks below
Ian Joyner was one of the artists that was laid off at Marvel Studios. He creates a lot of really cool stuff that's always worth seeing.

Devastated to hear the entire Marvel Studios’s Visual Development team has been let go. This was my old home but more importantly, the home of so many incredible artists and peers.

Then, during yesterday’s election in Festus, MO, residents overwhelmingly voted to kick out the incumbents who voted for the project.
America is fed up with data centers.

I’m authoring legislation in California to allow people to use plug-in solar to reduce their electric bills. The monopoly utilities are fighting us. They don’t want people to be able to lower their electric costs, since that means lower profits. Our bill passed its first committee last week.

2. We've (finally) identified the source of the "True" bug in Nightshade. Good news: we can fix it. Less good news: it's in a error reporting routine, meaning there was an underlying error that triggered it.

BREAKING: The White House is out with a new National Policy framework for AI.
The proposal says: "States should not be permitted to regulate AI development."
It also says that states shouldn't be able to penalize AI companies when people break the law with their models.
