We have been extending our knowledge of the art elements and focused on line and colour to create pictures inspired by Piet Mondrian’s recognisable style of artwork. There was such great focus and concentration from the pupils. Well done! I can’t wait to display these in the classroom 🖼️

We were curious about how the heart works and why our heart rate goes up. This afternoon, we checked our pulse after five different exercises to find out what made our heart rate increase the most! #IDL #Comparing #Numeracy #HumanBody
As we bring our Human Body topic to an end, we learned some real life skills including what to do in an emergency and how to put someone in the recovery position. A big thank you to Mrs Sneddon for coming to talk to us about your role as a First Aider at Deanburn and how you help everyone!

Afterwards we enjoyed looking at each other’s work and checking if we had remembered to include all the key features (punctuation, connectives and adjectives).
