I understand it sucks for the person, and I don't want it to come across as i don't because I feel so horrible about the fact it happens
but the way to make stuff better isn't about stopping these events from existing it should be focussed on other things instead, like communication would go miles

I just really really really do not like the idea of EVER policing anyone's events like this, the same as banning people, you should be able to run whatever events you want, ban whoever you want, use whatever rules you want. It's your scene you should be able to do whatever

The issue isn't that invitationals exist, it's other things surrounding them, there should be more communication with people, but we're all just humans at the end of the day and humans suck inherently at various shit.
But taking away an invitational takes away fun from soooo many people too

invited and leads to really cliquey behaviour, but that's people's right, there's no upper management or shit to please, everyone should be able to run whatever they want and not invite anyone they want, nobody is entitled to anything.

and that sucks, it really does, I've been there. But it's a holiday and people have their right to invite whoever they want, especially when they're paying. It's no different from like being left out of plans that your other friends have.

as someone not invited to the 2 invitationals I've been in midlands for and as someone who knows why you're posting this more than anyone, I think you're wrong.
It's not an event, it's a holiday essentially, and the event is to celebrate your shared interest, sure some people don't get invited
