We don’t need a second opinion. We need action:
- Cut the waiting lists
- Fund trauma-informed care
- Respect neurodivergent identity
- Stop pathologising difference
We are not a problem to be solved. We are a community demanding dignity.
This narrative is dangerous. It gaslights lived experience, undermines hard-won diagnoses, and fuels stigma. It’s a refusal to accept that humanity is neurologically diverse — and it shifts blame from broken systems to the people they’ve failed.
📉 ADHD Taskforce just confirmed under-diagnosis.
📆 Waiting lists are years long.
🧩 Support is patchy, inaccessible, and often retraumatising.
🗣 Families are repeating their stories endlessly just to be believed.
💥 And now we’re being told we’re too visible?
The government wants to review whether neurodivergence and mental health conditions are “over-diagnosed.”
Let’s be clear: this isn’t about evidence. It’s about erasure.
We’re not over-diagnosed. We’re overlooked, under-supported, and exhausted.

Absolutely incredible (but predictable) that Reform couldn’t be bothered to attend the #SEND debate in Westminster today.
So many MP’s have pointed to their absence and also that they should apologise for their comments about ‘parents hijacking and gaming the system’.
Shame on Reform.
Georgia Gould gives no real answers as to what the #SEND reforms will look like.
