this may be controversial idk but I think fandoms really need to learn how to work shit out in therapy so they can actually not hate the thing they claim to love and cherish as a substitute for how much they despise life and themselves

"Fandom deserves to be taken seriously" I actually can't think of anything more desperately in need of being taken LESS seriously.

I think this is a much larger learning experience for Charlie. Seeing how she is an adult demon who knows the barest of minimum about human nature, compared to Steven who is still a growing child and understands more about human nature than Gem nature.

Fandoms suck, as a whole. But do not let that ruin things you like for you. That's just hipsterism.

Appreciate things you like on your own terms and surround yourself with people you vibe with. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to engage with toxic parts of fandom because you like a thing.

I'm getting to the point in my life that I don't even care if something is awful, disliked, criticized, or hated.

If I find or gain enjoyment out of it, then that's the end all be all and only I say when I'm done enjoying it.
