I think I have all of Mark's published writing, though I've only read about half so far. It is difficult and I need a certain mood to properly absorb it. He was possessed with one of the greatest voices of the era, and I miss new music, but can hear his words as I read them.

It's worth a one-time watch for Buscemi, Grier, Bruce Campbell... had a fun soundtrack. But it is pretty much a trash movie, feels like a cheesy remake in some ways.

Thanks- I think you just jump forward 38 years, to a damaged world convinced they've defeated the threat from the end of the movie. Eventually it all spirals out again, the formula is subverted a bit, global chaos. "They Live Forever" working title... someone get Fuller and Lindelof on the phone! 🤣

If I were to pick one timely license to revive as a prestige tv series, it would be They Live. I think you could easily do three or four great seasons of satire and action. Put me in the writer's room 😎

Atmos is a great music format, hi-res and spacey as hell. Many old songs are revelatory and new again. I got Hendrix's Axis: Bold As Love for xmas, and had to pick up Electric Ladyland as well. Voodoo Chile is so damn good, what can be said. Get a cheap Atmos soundbar and go nuts.

Will have to open when I'm back from the holidays, but excited to add this Hellbound Heart cover print from Kirk Reinert to the Barker gallery wall. Looking forward to the hardcover next year!
