So for the 'day' chart, this will look like this: Asc + Moon - Sun
For the 'night' chart, this will look like: Asc + Sun - Moon
You then reverse the formulas respectively to calculate the Lot of Spirit.
Do you look at these lots in your practice?
then the formula is to take the arc distance from the Sun to the Moon and project that in zodiacal order from the Asc.
If you are a 'night' chart, then take the arc distance from the Moon to the Sun, and project that distance from the Asc.
If you are new to the lots, you can find yours on Astro-seek.com, which will do the calculations for you.
But it's worth understanding that if you are a 'day' chart (that is the Sun is above the horizon represented by the Asc-Dsc axis)
