I wrote a very critical review of a research paper full of classical beginner mistakes. So I tried to offer advice anywhere I could to who I presumed to be a graduate student submitting a paper for the first time—only to find out later that the author is actually a well-established full professor 🤦‍♀️.

Yes, I think it is. You play the role. I cannot even say I never enjoyed playing it. Sort of like “if I can’t be myself, I will at least put on a good show and try to have some fun with it.”

Am I the only one who had it exactly the opposite? I used to wear jackets / sports coats and ties all the time—though never suits per se. Maybe because I spent most of my pre-transition years in academia and it was kind of a suitable mask? But now, even memory of it is heavily dysphoric for me.

Pravda, ale to bych prý nesměla mít žádný akademický titul. Krom toho jsem málem odpověděla: “Ne, subinka.” 🤣

Dovolila bych si menší konstruktivně-kritickou poznámku. “Autogynefilie” není žádná reálná diagnóza. Nemusíte se tedy vůbec obhajovat, že jí netrpíte, jelikož nic takového ani neexistuje. Jedná se o pseudovědeckou teorii, kterou používají výhradně transfobové. /2
