I don’t understand why someone who won by less than 1/10 of a percentage point would actively do things to piss off her constituency. There are going to be a lot of federal workers in her district that are going to be pissed off next year when JMC/ASC completes its RIF compounded with the shutdown.

And to top it off he won! He took first place at the state final and got a 6th place plate for the total season. This means in his age group he was one of the top ten riders in the entire state. I love what BMX has meant to my son and my family. #BMX #BMXLife #Blacksky

This season we’ve really dove into BMX as a sport and travelled all around Illinois racing different tracks and letting our son find his groove. And guess what… it paid off! He’s finally got something he loves and excels at! This weekend he competed at Illinois State Finals!

Sometime there would be meltdowns though. Oh boy were there meltdowns. But then one day something clicked. He got third place. And then second place. Then got a couple of first place wins. My wife and I then started digging more into the sport. What are state qualifiers? Where are they?

For awhile we just didn’t think anything would work out and then accidentally discovered a beginner BMX league near our home and gave it a shot. At first this too was frustrating, he didn’t really grasp the concept of competition and mostly just rode for fun and would come in last but happy.

My son is AuDHD and has struggle for a long time with activities despite absolutely loving sports. Basketball was too loud with the echoes and the squeaking, soccer was too easy to get distracted, and he always felt like he was letting his team down and struggling with instruction.
