I sorta think the writing of his character is great because if you think of everything he's gone through, the fact he gives no fucks makes so much sense it's great.

Will also say the nature of the story changes starting in season 4 which makes sense in the grand scheme of how things have evolved. It's just different.

It doesn't fall off really, it's just different. Aside from Margo, Aledia, and Danielle everyone becomes a characture of themselves after season 3.

It helps that a lot of the space stuff is based off of real things that were explored (the dragon launches, pathfinder, etc)

Yeah the Sci fi part really isn't that far off and they accurately describe the limitations of having a colony on Mars, etc
