Season 2 on the docks is almost stand-alone—maybe a good entry point for a first-time watcher—
if you can stand the tension. Season 1 and the school season also just outstanding at world-creation, and any scenes with Lester Freamon or Bubbles are so, so human.

And did you SEE the top pull on her skillet lid? Almost all her cookware has some spectacular feature like that—eating with our eyes before we ever see the actual food!

Wild blackberries picked by crawling over barb-wire fences in rural Missouri—worth picking off the ticks; strawberries no bigger than my pinky finger from the Venice farmers’ market and cherries floating in a bowl of ice water at a restaurant in Florence —1990 was a good year for travel fruit!

The Native actors—so understated, so powerful—they will explode in your mind when you think about the story again. 💥 And the book!! Just as good and even more sub-plots and nuance.

And that the younger one credits his family for his support of LGBTQ rights with the NJ Devils—nice little human interest story!

Sad to hear that—also hate that he’d go on Maher—really don’t see the upside since not a good faith interrogator.

An astute presentation of self observation true not just for pols but for people. My view is that he’s less likely to turn into a lunatic than other religious pols because of family background and his track record, but of course you have to decide which candidate you’re least uncomfortable with.

FWIW, his preacher granddaddy was apparently a red-letter Jesus guy too—progressive because of his religion. Think the risk of James going off the rails after 20’ish years of progressive work is low.

The museum at his birthplace in Missouri is small-but-mighty. Such a learned man with both theoretical and practical contributions!

Thank you. This should be on the front page of every newspaper in the US. I hope you will post on LinkedIn and letter-to-Editor of every Bar Journal. And again, thank you.

And tried to give his WIFE—who he promised to honor and cherish—a prescription medication without her knowing after he passed the STI from the sec workers on to her. There is no “in all fairness” and no excuse for Bill. G.d have mercy on his depraved soul.

WHY are we allowing any militarized thugs to enforce civil laws and terrorize anyone they wish? Them pointing guns and using tear gas is not solved by half-measures. At minimum ICE OUT of our cities—for now—and ABOLISH ICE in 2026, real immigration reform in 2028.

Being “sandwiched” with no time for yourself, let alone money…sending you good energy and saying a prayer for your strength. 💕

ICE is definitely active in Douglas County—more so in surrounding counties but I’d bet many attendees will have seen or heard recent “local” ICE abuse stories.

I am so sorry—cold comfort that his denaturalization threats are likely to be rejected by the courts like many, many of his other threats have been.

IIRC, a loading schedule of 2x/week for 4-6 weeks, then just once a month. Neither one seemed to mind the injections, especially since followed with a liberal chunk of cheese! Good luck with your pup!

Sighthounds are great for first time dog owners. Greyhound rescue if you want a larger dog, whippet or Italian greyhound for medium or small. Breed rescue because they will foster and match to your family instead of ?? from the shelter. Sweet hounds great family dogs, want to do what you do!
